Do You Like the New Pins?

I went to TDS on Saturday morning (late - like 11:30) and figured all of the new pins would be sold out. I was pleasantly surprised that all of the various pins were still hanging on the shelves.

But I had to look at the Belle pin twice to figure out what it was. I think it is very 'busy' and that detracts from pin. I think most of them are much 'busier' - with more detail outlined in gold than the previous set.

Not sure I will be buying many of these.

You opinions?

I agree about the Belle pin. WAY too small for the amount of detail on the pin. I only bought the Poster pins, Goofy's 70th and Steamboat Willie.

Do I like them all, nope no way. But then I didn't like or buy all of any of the other two disneystore sets either. Okay, I admit it though. I loved the belle pin. I bought it and the Atlantis pin ( i really liked the movie).

Yuck, blech, phhhht!

These pins are a big disappointment. They are poorly designed and have no cohesion, if you know what I mean. The Millenium series, for example, was a great series. They were well designed with great graphics, and they all worked very well together. These seem very ordinary, and are randomly thrown together as a group. It was like a yard sale.

I feel Disney is taking for granted we will just buy whatever they put in front of us. I bought none.

Anxiously awaiting better pins, Nicole

Jeff picked up some for us since we were on our way back home from WDW on Saturday. I went by our local TDS and they had all except the Bambi poster (apparently none of the stores in this area received that one).

I don't think we'll be buying all of the pins. The Burbank water tower, for example, doesn't do anything for us.

Hopefully they will do a wider variety of characters than the last series.

As a Beauty and the Beast connoisseur (I had to look that one up in the dictionary:D) I have to agree about the Belle pin. It is way too busy...it was only after I saw an enlarged picture of it online that I realized that it had a castle in the background! It probably would have been a beautyful pin if it was large (like maybe 2 1/2 or 3 inches tall), but for those of us with bi-focals, it was hard to see!

I like the poster pins though, I think they all look nice together.
