I know many, many people do. The company has done very well. I don't like their coffee at all. It tastes so burnt! Three out of three times. Three different places. Burnt. So bad. I gave them a try. Three times you are out. I'm sure they don't miss me.

Do you like their coffee?

Poll coming...

I voted "other". I tend to not like their coffee. And I don't visit often. But their other specialized or seasonal drinks are pretty good. I do like their hot cider, egg nog lattes and iced green tea with lemonade.

There are four things I will drink... Java Chip Frap, Caramel Macchiato, Pumpkin Spice Latte, and the Peppermint Latte.

I know of this "burnt" taste you are speaking of, but I believe it is just the taste of a DARK roast. Most things at Starbucks are made with Espresso.

I like Starbuck's coffee. I have had it at several locations and never had a bad cup yet. But I am drinking the no frills variety.

Annie, our first disagreement :goodvibes;)

 Trust me, if you had a taste of what I had, you would agree! :rotfl:

Most of it, yes. The Pikes Place blend is swill but most of their bold I do like. Their Sumatra blend is probably my favorite. I wouldn't say it is my favorite though. Other than the occasional spiced chai I pretty much drink only black coffee or espresso.

Other.

If there's a Caribou Coffee anywhere in the vicinity, I'll go to it over Starbucks any day. If I have a coffee craving and there's no Caribou, I'll go to Starbucks, but I think they over-roast their coffee beans.

Only their seasonal pumpkin latte & a mocha once in a while during winter.

The only coffee that I buy from them to brew at home is their Christmas Blend.

Nobody in our house drinks coffe, so the answer to your poll is no.

But, both DD and I perfer to get hot chocolate from Starbucks when we are out running around on a cold day. And on a warm day, give us the strawberries and cream drink to cool off with.

There are days though, that I will agree with you on that the smell of "burnt coffee" is just really, really strong in the air and I can't believe that people actually find it pleasing to their tastebuds.

I am not a big coffee fan. I do like some Starbucks coffee drinks, but they have been doctored up with syrups and stuff so much that they hardly qualify as coffee anymore. (Decaf Carmel Frappucino = yum!)

When I have tasted straight Starbucks coffee though, I agree with you. It tastes burnt. However, I feel the same way about our local mom-and-pop coffee shop's plain coffee. Maybe it's just too "robust" for my tastes.

Yes - although most of my Starbucks beverages are lattes. Occasionally I'll get an iced coffee, but I rarely get just a plain cup of coffee from Starbucks. I don't think it tastes "burnt," I think it's just a dark roast. If you think it tastes burnt, try something lighter. One roast I can't stand is Sumatra (not just Starbucks' Sumatra, either, any Sumatra)!

No. Occasionally, when I'm desperate for a latte, I'll go to Starbucks. Usually only when I'm also too lazy to drive to Thomas Hammer, which is way better and cheaper.
I agree there is a burnt taste to it. The only time I've had a decent latte from Starbucks was the time I actually got it in Pike's Place Market and even then, it was only just okay. I don't buy regular coffee drinks from coffee places, so I can't comment on that.

Love coffee:love::love::love: BUT not a fan of SB's. I prefer a milder roast. The Morning Blend is more tolerable to me. Dunkin' Donuts has better coffee, IMHO. (plus they have a coconut flavoring--not sweetened....I order mine with skim milk and a shot of coconut and it's like drinking a Mounds bar).

I'm not a coffee drinker. My mom is though. She enjoys Starbucks, and has begun a hobby of collecting Starbucks coffee cups from different cities she travels to. Last I checked she had a nice collection, that is only growing in size.

I picked other. I like some of their coffee. I'm not a fan of the brewed coffee, but I like some of their fancy stuff. I don't get them very often (only if I get gift cards from students!).

I am a Dunkie's girl. But again, only when I have gift cards.

Normally, I make my own with my Keurig!

I like it, but I'd rather have Community Coffee, all things considered. I cannot stand Dunkin'; it tastes like dishwater.

I'm not a coffee connoisseur. I'm pretty much okay with the coffee sold/served most places as long as there is cream and sugar available. I like the variety of starbucks, though. I can always try something new because I don't go very often.
