Do you like Spam

I was pretty disgusted when my DH fried some up, drained it and then added a can of peaches, but amazingly enough it is pretty tasty.
Thanks.....another addition to the spam recipe book.

(& if you have run out of spam in the house...& let's be honest...who hasn't??....then you can substute fried baloney).

LOL. It is best with the peaches in heavy syrup. :). Judging from your location can I assume you attend the annual Spam festival? Although I don't know if it will go on anymore because the charity that held it went under IIRC.

:

And a big NO from me on the Spam question :scared:

But there is this poster named Pixie and I hear she loves pickles and spam sammichs. ;)

That's funny, because I have heard that you actually have a book with secret spam recipes:confused3

Anyway, just to set the record straight...I am a big No on the spam question, even though I was fed fried spam sandwiches as a child.

Grossssss

I don't like either kind of spam - the kind you eat and the kind in your E-mail box!

Love it, grew up eating it. Luckily since no one else in the family will eat it they now make it in the half size cans which is just right for me to have for breakfast by myself.

By the way unless they have changed the way the make the product from all those years ago its not really made from the leftover of pigs. The derivation of the name Spam came from S houlder P ork and hAM

now THIS is scary....

Ah, welcome to my world.

I had a "Treet" sandwich (and yes, with catsup) in my lunch every day from 1st grade through 12th.

What are y'all staring at? :confused3

My dad would fry spam in butter (yes, butter) and put american cheese on it and have it in a sandwich. I haven't had one of these since he's been gone. Thanks for the memories!!!!
Well, I will fry Spam in butter for a sandwich also, but I've been neglecting the cheese. I'll make sure to add that next time. :)

Sounds like good nutritional meal to me. Got most of your food groups covered:

catsup - vegetable
treet - meat & ("virginia ham taste" - that is classic!)
bread - grain
treet - a few others ;)
pair it with a dreamsickle & you got your dairy & fruit groups covered too. :woohoo:

Well, there is plenty of that around here.

Poor thing.

A good therapist can help alleviate the aftereffects of a spam-filled childhood. While you have the phone book out, you might want to contact an internist to deal with your long-term digestive issues.

Although I hate to admit it, I live in the state where SPAM is made. There is a reason why computer spam is named after the canned crap.

I have never eaten SPAM but I grew up in the Philly Area & we ate Scrapple which I imagine can be considered gross also.

I love spam!! In fact, DH mentioned the other day that he wanted a Spamburger so that is what we are having for lunch on Saturday. :)

Echt? oder Schmarrn??

illuminati, you didn't answer my question - did you overlook it? if I have a neighbour posting here it would be nice to know! :) There are not many Germans here

Babelfish ist echt geil, oder? ;)

....got ME sold.....:)

I used to like spam, but I was always cutting myself when I opened the cans. There's nothing like that salty spam juice seeping into a fresh cut on your finger...:scared1:
So I wonder who ever came up with that little key thing that wraps around that sharp skinny strip of metal?
