I was very apprehensive abolut riding it for the first time last May, but got a prescription for the patch before going and had no problems! A truly unique experience, but I wouldn't try it more than once without a break. The onl thing I regret is not spending more time looking at the queue. Both times we've gone on it, there either was no line or we used a fast pass and walked right on.

I loved it! My husband and I were hesitant to try it because of everything we'd read about it...we thought we'd get sick or wouldn't enjoy the intensity. Well, we both loved it and we didn't get sick (DH almost always gets sick on spinning rides). Also, I was picturing that the G-forces would maybe feel so intense that I wouldn't like it, and the overall intensity would be too much. After going on it, I was so pleasantly surprised...it wasn't as intense as I thought it would be, but it seemed just the right intensity and I felt it was a really unique experience. We went on it again the next day.

Just got back from WDW on Tuesday evening. Rode Mission Space for the very first time and I loved it. Am looking forward to doing again and again and again. My sis and my 7 year old neice didn't go on because of the warnings but I think my neice will be doing it next time they go - not too sure about my sis - she hates to fly and I thought the take off sensation felt like you do when you take off in an airplane. I would love to be riding on this ride right now (instead of working!! LOL)

So if you go on it and wish you hadn't, what effects would it have if you close your eyes?

I haven't been on it, but have been reading lots of posts to decide whether to ride it. Everyone says that looking to the side (where you can see the spinning) and closing your eyes are the worst things you can do. The video in front of you is intended to trick your brain so that you don't notice the spinning. Without the video, I think you would be in trouble.

I will probably end up riding as I cannot stand to skip any thrill rides (and I have 2 DD who will certainly go), but I may wait until the end of the day so it doesn't ruin the rest of a day if it doesn't go well.

I really enjoyed "Mission Space"!! The liftoff was a thrill. After that, however, I thought the ride was relatively tame.

Do not close your eyes! They tell you this time and again beforehand, but I'm sure a lot of pepole don't listen. The two things that are nearly guaranteed to make you sick are (1) closing your eyes and (2) looking to the side instead of straight ahead.

I've been on the ride twice now, and will probably ride it again. The main reason I haven't been since the first two times is that I have been at the park with someone who didn't want to ride, and I felt bad making her wait (though wait times are usually pretty reasonable).

My first experience was like goofyfreaks, felt dizzy after the first ride.

Sat down for about 10-15 mi nutes (It was my turn to watch the baby) and when my DB and DSIL came out, I went again with her and had no problems.

My secret was to play with all of the switches and buttons to occupy my mind, kind of playing the part of engineer (that was my seat) and I had no troubles and enjoyed it .

Looking forward to riding again in Dec.

I do wish that they would get us off of Mars, though.

I felt a little dizzy after riding it. My wife got sick for the rest of the morning and could not enjoy anything else. Maybe I´ll try one more time just to make sure that is a bad ride for me. I usually don´t feel good after riding Body Wars, Star Tours and Back to the Future...But I love roller coasters....

I loved this ride!! My dh opted out at the last minute you possible could. My 6 yo dd went on and HATED it. She was crying so hard. She loves roller coasters. There was a very nice young kid who was with us on the ride giving us pointers on the ride. I was trying to console her, he would keep telling me to keep my head back and in my seat! The G forces were wicked! This guy gave my dd a pin for her braveness!! He had been on the ride 92 times at that time- and this was in February. Needless to say, I will go on in alone this time. Single rider line is always shorter anyways! LOL!!

Our family really enjoyed it in April. The lines were longer (Spring Break).

My DS who was 10 at the time had really been looking forward to it. We went to Epcot to watch Illuminations and saw a stand by time of 30 minutes (the clock was broke!). He and I got in line and with all the warnings he was ready to bail after waiting for well over an hour. I told him over my dead body, after spending all this time we were going on it. Lucky for us we had done a baby swap with Dad.

As soon as he got to see the movie with the "guy from Apollo 13" (his favorite movie) he was less worried. We did the ride and he couldn't wait to go again.

Thanks to baby swap he got to go 6 times during our trip and Mom and Dad, we did it each 3 times. Little brother didn't mind, he thought the after experience was way too much fun.

My husband was thanking his lucky stars that they left us on Mars. He said that he couldn't have lasted a second longer and was so worried that we were going for the return trip to Earth!

Couldn't vote.... didn't have my option.

Didn't love it, but didn't hate it. Did it twice and probably won't bother again unless there is NO LINE!!.........P

OK I was all psyched to ride this but whenever I got up to the que line inside the building it said that if you suffer from migraines do not ride which really freaked me out because i suffer with severe eye and head migraines, so i chickened out, my DH rode it and said that it was so cool and this and that but it made him a little dizzy, has anyone else who suffers migraines tried this? if so any ill effects???

I suffer from migraines and had no problems in M:S. I'm not sure what they think would trigger a migraine, but I suspect they have the warning "just in case" to cover their own rear end.

There aren't flashes of light, which can trigger migraines in some people (at least I don't remember any) and it was smooth (jolting around can trigger them in me and roller coasters can cause me problems) .

I LOVE it! I'm not a thrill ride person either. But I LOVE this one. Rode it 3 times in a row. Can't wait to get back to ride it more.

I loved it. I am a technology freak to begin with and the design of this ride to accomodate the masses was brilliant. The interactive nature of it (although you really don't control anything) is spectacular in it's timing and reaction.

I have High Blood Pressure and didn't notice the signs concerning that, as I approached. I'm on medication anyway and when that is happening my blood pressure is normal so it probably wouldn't have stopped me.

I am of the camp that believes that if you think you are going to be sick, the chances are pretty good you will be. There is nothing stronger than the power of suggestion. Since the negative coverage of Mission Space has been so strong I am truly happy to see that so many loved or liked the ride. I would hate to think that Disney finally stuck their necks out and invested megabucks in an attraction and then no one would go. I doubt they would invest in new technology again for awhile if that happened.
