I go from a long sleeved shirt to a full on big, long, bulky, hooded winter coat. There is no in between for me. I’m all or nothing. So I only need and wear one coat.
If were talking coats like outerwear, I have a couple. One I wear if I ever go somewhere cold, another for the very few cold days at home. But mostly I throw on a hoodie if it's cold, I'm pretty casual and hoodies are less bulky and restricting.

I don't DISlike them but I only have one. I bought it last year because contrary to belief California does get COLD and the cardigan style sweaters I had just weren't cutting it.
I have lots of hoodies that I wear until it gets too cold even for me. Then I have a coat I bought at WDW in 2017 when it got really cold on our December trip. It's navy blue and not too conspicuously Disneyfied.
Hasn’t really got cold enough to wear a jacket more than a few times a year. I’m from south jersey. My extra pounds help also. A sweatshirt is usually enough even in the winter.
I'm in central Ohio, so we also have a nice collection of jackets in our closet. We have jackets for going out, jackets and suits for snow mobiling, and even a collection of Carhartt jackets for when we're at my families farm.
