Do You Like Having Overnight Guests?

One thing for sure, that I have learned over the years....Consider what the friendship is worth to you before you say anything. If the friendship isn't that important to you, then say something. If you don't want to lose this person as a friend or have a strain in your relationship then bite your lip and smile.:) Always consider the worst thing that can happen if you open your mouth.:eek:

I don't like overnight guests no matter who they are. I always feel uncomfortable. It could be my own parents and it no longer feels like my home.

LOL, it's easy.

"Oh, wonderful, it'll be great to see you. Make sure and call me when you get into town and let me know which hotel you're at. Maybe we can get together for dinner while you're here."

::yes::

Either that or say "That's great, I'm looking forward to seeing you. Do you already have hotel reservations, or would you like me to get some numbers for you?"

My child constantly has a zillion kids over here and I don't mind them. They only get on my nerves occasionally and usually all it takes is one time getting on to them and they do their own thing.

We don't have any family and all my closest friends live in the same town so the only one with company is my son, but no I don't mind.

They know where the refridgerator is and they know how to use a microwave so I usually let them have the run of the house.

depends on the guests...

my parents are ok. they are divorced so we get them 1 at a time. they buy their own groceries and my mom will cook and clean. My dad is a great baby sitter and plays with ds all day so I can get lots done.

My inlaws are a different story. We get MIL, FIL and 17 year old SIL all together. They sleep until 10am when I'm up with ds at 7am. So we are stuck in our bedrooms trying to be quiet while they sleep. We have a spare room and a futon in our office. SIL sleeps on the futon until a least noon which doesn't work well considering I work from home. They expect to be waited on and eat all our food and drink all our wine w/out offering a penny.

As for friends, I have some I mind and some I don't. It all depends on how they act.

That being said I hate being an overnight guest at other people's places. We have several friends about 100 miles away and we usually drive home even if it's midnight or later.
