how long it will take for a closed resale contract (that is already showing up on my account) to have the points be available for reservations?:confused3

When I closed on mine they said it would take 7 to 10 days once I closed. I do not remember how long it actually took though.

When we closed in May, it only took about 2-3 days for the points to show up. This was the 3rd add on to the master contract.

It used to be about 2 work days, I've heard reports the last year or two suggesting more in the week range.

Your account is set up by one group and your points are loaded by another. As Dean stated it normally takes a couple of days.

We bought a resale through TSS, I am a current DVC member and I put my DVC Member number on all the closing docs (that might have helped), we got the closing email yesterday at around 12:00PM and the points are in my account this morning.

Thanks for the replies everyone!
Here is the update:
The contract was entered on 11/4 and by 3:00pm on 11/5 the points were available for use! It was even faster than what DVC said...they did tell me that once I could see them in my online account then they could as well...got to love the online member site!

Remember what it was like to be a "new" DVC member.

We recently purchased a resale at AKV and AKV showed up on the MS website under our main contract at BLT four days before the points were all posted. We had 2009 banked points on the new AKV contract. The AKV 2010 points showed available first and then they added the banked points a couple of days later.

Purchasing through the DVC directly is much faster.

Welcome Home!

Perfect. Glad everything worked out so quick.
