Do you know Ranger Stan at WL? PLEASE READ INSIDE!

Have you stayed at Wilderness Lodge before?

Have you done Flag Family while staying there?

If so, you probably had the pleasure of experiencing your Flag Family morning with Ranger Stan. He is the kind hearted man that has been doing it for years now.

He also does the lodge tour. (If they still do that anymore...)

Why am I asking? Stan is going to be having some knee surgery sometime soon. I wanted to send/deliver a little something to him to show him we care.

What do I want from you? If you have pictures from your flag family experience, please send 1 picture of what you feel is your BEST picture to me. JPEG is the preferred format. I don't care how large the image is. Send it anyway.

What will I be doing with your picture?

I thought I would make a collage of all of the pictures I get and print them as one image then put it in a frame.

Can you help me show Stan how much we appreciate him?

I NEED THESE FAST! I plan on hand delivering this while I am down in early October. Please email your pics asap!!

(This makes it easy for me to spot them.)

Please make sure you give me the name of your family.
As in, for me, it would be: "The Block Family" so I can put your name on the presentation card that will go with it.

HOw sweet. I'll have to find the pictures for you. Ranger Stan had a very local town to ours (Mt. Laurel NJ) on his CM badge. We had a nice talk about the town and such when we were flag family.

Keep on the lookout for our pic.

I hope he is well. He was very sweet to us/

We were not lucky enough to be the Flag Family during our stay in December 2003, but still want to send Stan best wishes and speedy recovery!!!

We had Ranger Stan in 2003 when we were chosen and loved this wonderful experience!! I will try to find our pictures and send you one later this weekend. Thanks for doing this, what a fun and thoughtful idea!

I found one with Stan from inside near the Christmas tree, but it's not digital. The outdoor ones are either cropped or with just my family. I'll try to get it scanned this weekend and send it to you.

You know, it'd be fun to post our pictures here as well. I'd love to see all of your photos. I'll do that when I've scanned mine. My kids have grown a mile since then!

Our family went to the top of the WL Oct 10, 2001 to raise the flags w/Ranger Stan. The certificate is hanging on the wall behind me. This was part of the experience that told us to become DVC members w/the Lodge as our "home".

Oct 2004 I did the Lodge tour w/Ranger Stan.

As the ME bus pulled up to the Lodge this past Aug 13th there was Ranger Stan outside the doors welcoming us "home".

We wish him the best of luck with his surgery.

My DD wants to know if she could email you a message for Stan to wish him well with his surgery. She was very touched that you were doing this for him. He was so great with my kids. DS might want to include a note as well. Let me know.

I have at least one friend that has pictures, but she is out of town. I bet she'll be back home tonight. I'll send her a PM telling her what you need. When do you have to have them? Do you still have a day or two?
