Do You Hop?

I am trying to plan a "budget" trip for early Oct 2005. I've always purchased hopper passes :Pinkbounc in the past. Thinking back, I'm not sure we really "hopped" all that often. I could save a few dollars by not getting the hopper option.

Just curious if others find they "hop" often :Pinkbounc or stick to one park per day.

I hop. I sometimes spend the entire day at Animal Kingdom or MGM but never at MK or Epcot.

We hop almost everyday. With some parks closing earlier than others, it's nice to be able to continue the day for a few more hours. We also like the fact that if one park gets too crowded for our taste, we can hop to another park. But if the budget were tight, I could live without the hopper feature on my pass and still be happy.

We hop every day--mornings in one park, back to hotel for break, late afternoon and evening in another park. However, we do have little kids that need a break.

I couldn't live without it! I just automatically budget it in. I love the convenience and enjoy having that option.

I don't always use it every day but I do use it. I used it a lot on my trip last August with my newbie to Disney sister. If we couldn't hop, we wouldn't have been able to see all the parades and fit in all the shows and meals.

I like being able to start in the AM at AK and the PM elsewhere. I like starting in the AM at MK and then take a break and then go to EPCOT in the PM.

I like doing another park in the AM and then go to MGM for Fantasmic in the PM.

I like doing another park in the AM and then head to MK in the PM for Spectro and Wishes.

I remember one year, we walked into MK on our last full day and it was PACKED! Pooh at 11:00a had a FASTPASS return time of 5:00p! :earseek: So we walked right back out and went to MGM.

I just couldn't live without having that option.

I can't even imagine NOT hopping. We never stay in one park for the whole day. Some days we'll stay only a few hours in the morning in one park, afternoon at another park, and evening at yet another park.

Especially important when you go on the off seasons and MK closes at 6pm. If MK or AK closes early, there's always Epcot or MGM to hop to. Nice.

We hop all the time. I love not having to worry about which park we want to go to when. I especially like to be able to eat wherever we want. We love to eat in Epcot, so I like having the freedom to go there for dinner even if we spent the day in another park.

We always hop. :Pinkbounc My DS's would die if they could not jump on the Disney transportation and go where ever they wanted. We will be leaving on in three weeks and plan to hop till we drop.

We rarely hop. We like to go in one park as it opens and leave as it closes. I don't want to waste time going from one park to another. We did not bother with the hopper pass for our next trip. We bought the base 7 day and if we deside to go to a water park one day then we will pay it at the door. We are not sure we will go because of wheather so this was the best way for us since we too are on a budget.

We are hoppers too. We often do the Early Entry at one park and then hop over to another park when it becomes too crowded.

We only hopped once and that was b/c it was Halloween and we were looking for snow white and had to leave MK and go to EPCOT to find her. Even though we're not even staying on site this year I am still wondering if we should get hopper option also. I don't think we will. I can't see why we would need it.

I'm with bscs - get there when the park opens and stay till it closes! No wasting time when it costs so much to get in. We want to get every minute we can. The most hopping we ever did would be on the last day, sometimes we divided the day to repeat 2 parks. I'm not paying to hop just to use it once, the kids will just have to decide which park gets a repeat. I know if you have little kids they have to nap, but I never understood how people can spend hours out of the parks sawimming at the hotel and so forth when you have paid to get in the parks! Also, if one park is "too crowded" how are you to know if the others are not just as crowded? JMHO and I know many others do not share it.

We love to hop.

But if you think youv'e never used the option before I would try a trip without it.

I'm trying to decide if I need the Hopper also. We always are at the rope drop so alot of times we did not even go back at night. I could go back at night to the same park :earseek: IfI hate it I can upgrade at the park. I also have 3 1 days hoppers to use from the Disney Store with 4 of us going. I have 1 Ap & I can't figure out how best to use my 1 days without paying for the no experation feature. :sad2:

We are going in Oct and we are going to try it without it this first time. Course we only have 2 days so it's not like its going to mess us up that bad.

If I was staying for a longer time I would probably opt for the hopper.

We have been 2 times with our kids. Our kids are now 3 and 5. We used the hopping option 1 of the days, when we had 3 day hoppers (land and sea package cruise). Splitting up MGM and Epcot. Last year we did a Disney only trip and did not hop. We had 5 day hoppers. I think if you have young ones 1 park a day is enough if you have the time.

We opted not to hop. We have tickets for 6 days, for the 5 of us. We usually stay in 1 park for the entire day, so I don't think it will bother us much. We figure that when parks close earlier, such as AK, it will give us a chance to go lay by the pool. :)
