Do you have to wear a name tag at work?

I have to wear one and yes it has my picture on it, if we don't wear it the badge nazi attacks us at the front desk....wheew she is mean it's worth wearing!!!

I don't work right now, but I've only had to carry a badge for security purposes. I've always been allowed to wear them on my belt or something like that, not necessarily in the typical name tag place.

Brendy, I'm ROFL at the thought of you wearing a name tag in your house! :teeth:

Yes, first name only and NO picture!:o I have mine in my top drawer of my desk, and hardly EVER wear it.

Kermit! LOL, I know!!
My clients think I'm having a senior moment or something when they walk in & see me wearing it!
Then, they say, oh, I bet the inspector is in town!:p

Due to heightened security, we are supposed to wear our picture ID badges at all times at work. They double as our key to the facility. If you see someone not wearing a badge, you are supposed to contact security immediately. Yeah, right.

When I first got my badge, I taped an appropriately sized image of Grumpy over my photo. Eventually I replaced Grumpy with a photo of me from 1974 (long hair and a poor excuse for a beard). I have gotten quite a few comments about the photo, but not a word from security. I guess since it is technically a photo of me, they don't have a problem with my modification.

I tried the belt clip thingie for my badge, but now I wear my badge on a lanyard. It's good training for pin trading at WDW.

Our badges double as a photo ID badge, as well as a credit card to charge food from the Cafeteria, RX's from the Pharmacy, and Gift Shop.

It also doubles as an access card to locked down certain areas of the hospital, providing you have security clearance.

I have two nametags but never wear them. One stays in my car for when I go to conference...like the college magnet back nametag than the conference peel and stick kind.

The college doesn't seem to care if we wear them or not. Most people just seem to wear them to big meetings.

Yup. Everyone entering the refinery must have a security badge. Permanent employees have a badge with a picture.

Yes, we have to wear a badge with our name and department on it. We can't get into any of the buildings without it. I hate wearing it!

It was funny when one girl got her badge caught in the shredder! Most all of our lanyards have a snap on them. When she got stuck in the shredder we all realized why they had the snap! I still have to laugh when I think about her bringing me her shredded badge. :)

No, but being a substitute teacher, I put my name on the board so I don't foget who I really am!!!!;) :jester: :bounce:

Yes I do have to wear one. Do I ? Not always. I find that it either comes off or I end up getting it caught on something. I wear mine @ the bottom of my scrub top or jacket, I hold several babies during the day and don't want to scratch them. Well that's the story I give the people who come through to inspect our office. :D

I have one, but I lost it on like my third day of work, and haven't seen it yet. Luckily, nobody has questioned me yet ;-)

At the company I used to work for, it was my job to make name tags for the new people. Well, due to lots of hours and nothing to do, I have some great name tags with my picture on them and titles like "Queen of the Universe" and "The boss of you". I kinda miss my nametag machine..

Yes, I work in a hospital and everyone is required to wear their ID badge.

It has my picture, it also functions as the time card I punch in and out with.

I wear it on a lanyard with a Mickey pin :)

I also work in a hospital. It is required at all times or you are sent home. I work in the ER and access from the waiting area is restricted, so unless you have your badge to swipe through, you don't get through. We wear them on beakawya lanyards around our necks, so we can't be choked. It has a picture, our first name only, and our job title.

We have to wear nametags as well. They double as security and for time clock purposes.

Working in CCU I used to wear mine on a lanyard but it still managed to get hung in IV tubing, rails, etc. so I just wear it clipped to my pocket.

Our badge has our picture, name, and title. My pic is horrid so I have a little sticker of piglet over it with my pic of pooh under it stating, "Just being me".

Our DON insists we were white to indentify ourselves as nurses even though that is what our nametag is supposed to do. The white don't matter because the patients continue to think housekeepers are nurses and the men are all doctors. My DON is stuck in the 50's; she even wanted us to go back to wearing the lovely hats. UGH!!! I would have had to revamp mine and put ears on it.:p

Yes , Name and picture on it. it is also coded where we can get in the building and where we work.:D

I'm suspossed to but Couldn't tel you how many times I've forgotten to put it on. I'm not only one and Even DON is gulity of not wearing hers.

Nope. No name tag. But I have to carry an access card. Without it I can't get into the office. But since I work at home & rarely go to the office, my card is laying around here somewhere. Guess I should find it for the next time I need to go in.....
