Do you have to wait in line for Dok Ondar's?

Another trip planning question! We're planning to be in HS in December, so we're watching walk-throughs and reading up. Some of the online videos show long lines to get into Dok Ondar's. Do you have to queue, usually, to get in there? If so, how long a wait? We've got Hopper tickets, so we're planning on making it to Galaxy's Edge around seven o'clock in the evening. Would Dok Ondar's generally be very busy then?

So the line for Dok Ondar’s is for the lightsaber display case and if you actually want to handle the legacy hilts and look at them up close before buying. Sometimes you have to join a virtual queue to be let in for that if it’s really busy at the display case / a new hilt is released or they have you line up outside and then they send a few people in at a time to join the taped out queue inside the shop for the display case that’s monitored by a CM. If you just want to look inside, check out the other merch sold there or already know which lightsaber that you want to buy then you can just go straight in and don’t have to wait in line. You can get the legacy hilts from the other check out on the right when you enter if you know who you want in advance and don’t want to look at it beforehand.

We thought you had to queue to get in too last summer on our first visit there because we didn’t know any different and waited a good 20 minutes in the blazing sun with no shade before one of the CMs eventually told us we could just go straight in and buy the hilts from the other counter if we already knew what we wanted so I wish someone had told us that before haha

The shop itself isn’t very big so it’s always kind of cramped in there but I would imagine it would be quieter later on because people are eating dinner and waiting for Fantasmic! etc but the later you leave it then you’re running the risk of stuff being out of stock if you’re looking for a specific item.

Thanks so much for this! Exactly what I was wondering. We're not actually looking for a lightsaber, so that will be good! Really just looking forward to experiencing everything and not on the hunt for a specific souvenir.
