Do you have to show ID to get in for Cindy's ressie?

Here is the problem. My friend's sister made the ressies for Cinderella Castle, she is going to WDW with their family. She used their CC# but gave them her name, just in case the other family got through on the same morning. Well they didn't, so now they have a ressie under her name with their CC. Now the sister has to leave a day early and will not be at CRT's at all. I told them not to reduce the number or try to change the name because I'm afraid if they fool around with the ressie it may disappear all together. So will they be able to get in with the PS# if the person who made it under their name is not with them? They will have the credit card that they made the ressie under and will explain that a member of their party had to leave early? They have two different last names also.

Please does anyone know? I know lots of people on these boards go to that breakfast -- do you need to show id??

I just made my ressie for CRT last week. The CM told me that I would need IDwith the name that the PS is in along with the credit card that I used to secure the PS. Sounds like you will need ID.

YES, the name on the PS must the people using the PS. They ask for ID and for the CC that was used to book the PS. Also the names on the PS can not be changed.

Unfortunetly this became necessary when a group on the internet began booking PS's for CRT and then "giving them away."

We were at Cindy's on 7/29. My DH had to show his ID, but they didn't ask to see the CC that we had made the reservations under. I might suggest that they all go to Cindy's reservation desk at some point during their stay and try to make the change in person. Just stop by there at a quiet time and I'd be very surprised if they couldn't help them out.

Tossing pixie dust your way,
Tammi

Tammi that is a good idea -- thanks for the suggestion, I never would have thought of it.

Yes, they will have to show an ID, and she better take care of changing the PS now, or may run the risk of not getting seated, which would be awful for the kids!

My suggestion would to approach the podium during a non-busy time ie just before lunch or late afternoon before they start serving dinner. Have your friend's sister armed with the CC and ID and explain the situation. I'm sure if she had all the proper ID and tells them of the situation, a note could be added to the PS saying someone else would be checking in. Also, if your friend's sister's husband is going to be staying, he would have the same last name and probably wouldn't have a problem checking in.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. They were able to change the name but it had to be cancelled and simultaneously rebooked. Very nerve wracking. Take great care when making CRT ressies, you have the name that will absolutely be there. She did specifically mention Howie's Angels as the reason for their new policy.

Wow, my DH and I were making ressies at the same time and he got through first now I can't remember which CC he used and he won't be with us now.
