Do you have to pay to snorkel at CC?

If we have our own snorkel gear do we have to pay to snorkel at CC? Also will a mask and snorkel do, or do we have to have fins?

No, If you have your own gear you don't need
to pay for anything. Myself I would bring the fins.
We always bring all our gear and If you plan to
be in the water for a while fins will help, you will
feel it after awhile if you don't have them. They
will help you from getting too tired.
The water is so clear and the fish come right to
you and there is a lot to search for at CC. Find
The underwater Mickey and the sunken treasure
chest. Lots of fun, We always foget the time and
wind up being out there for 1 - 2 hours easy.

You have to wear a snorkle vest -- those are provided free of charge, and they will not let you snorkel without one.

so how much does it cost if you dont have your own gear? Sounds like fun..
we have never been snorkeling. does anyone know how deep the water is? I have a 9 and a 6 year lod. just wondering if this would be something they could do. i'm sure my 9 year old son could do it. When we go swimming at the pool you will always find him floting around with his mask and snorkel.. LOL but my 6 year old is not a good swimmer but if she could stand and look in the water that would be fun.

There is really not too much to see near the shore. You really have to go out pretty far to see the more interesting things.

Also, try and go early in the day before the water get stirred up and cloudy. Many people report that afternoon snorkeling is not as good.

I think the price for snorkeling is about $25pp (less for kids) if you do not have your own equip.

We were lucky as the fish actully came so close to shore that we could see them standing by the shore. Quite a few of them, not sure if this was normal or not. Our DS 7 need only poke his look into the water without swimming to see the fish.

Actually we paid $25 per person and the kids were charged that amount as well. If you have your own equipment I'd bring it. The fins were all right but both dh and my masks leaked horribly!!
