Do you have any luck with Online Booking?

Being a newbie to DVC I am curious about using the online booking to make a reservation compared to using the 1-800 number. Is online better for long term reservations (6 month in advance)? I have been trying to use it for short notice bookings and it never seems to work. What I mean by short notice is a 1 to 2 month out. I keep getting a sorry but nothing is available email and as soon as I call there is something available where I wanted. Do the online reservations not see all the available rooms?

There is not currently a true on-line reservation system. The form on the member website actually sends an e-mail that is then looked at by a CM.

I usually do that when I'm doing my initial booking at 11 mos. Our home resort is SSR and we usually do a studio during non-peak times, so it's easy to get. I always call if I want something 7 months or sooner.
