Do you have any idea when Disney will start selling Poly DVC?

Well last rumor I saw said they are trying to get a 2015 summer opening date..
So I would think the early spring 2015 would be when they would start selling it, based on when the started selling GF

However Disney can do whatever they want!

I go with min. $155-$165 a point.
I don't think they would have it lower than the GF price per point..

We all thought VGF would "obviously" be priced higher than BLT. Yet, it wasn't.

Here's what I would do if I were in charge of DVC sales marketing: $135pp. Same as the classic resorts!

And simultaneously make the point chart through the roof. Easier to draw people in on the sticker per-point price. And then you can also sell them that their purchase of a ton of points to stay a week at the Poly can get them a lot more time, if they choose to use them at the other resorts.

I'd simply suggest that buyers are less sensitive to point chart inflation than they are to absolute per-point cost. That bias, of course, is economically irrational. Yet it's still true.

I'm excited to see If I'll be able to afford to buy. Hopefully, its not going to be outrageous! I've been saving up some cash to buy another contract (used @ Boardwalk) but I may go off track and buy at Poly.

It was funny to listen to people speculate on GFV's. A good number of posters were saying 200 per point, with most speculating much higher than it actually came in at.

Looking forward to walking around the Poly grounds this fall. I'm truly torn. Love the Poly, but saddened that the bungalows are destroying the view of MK. Need to walk around and get a feel for how much they are changing it.

Me and DH were talking about this when we stayed at VGF and saw the construction. It's going to block views of people that like to stay in the non-DVC rooms and take away beach space. I'm really not looking forward to the new Poly DVC, it will change the regular Poly forever.

DVD has two ways to raise the price. It can raise the price per point and it can raise the number of points needed per night (and thus sell more points per unit than other resorts. For VGF, DVD basically did both while making people think it was at a good price because when it first went on sale in 2013 for $145 per point to members and then $150 to new purchasers, the BLT price was $160 and AKV was $140. However, creating that "bargain" cost impression took a period of about 18 months, beginning after most of BLT was already sold out, during which DVD, in increments, raised the BLT price from $120 a point to $160, an obviously planned move to be able to charge $150 for VGF and make people think it was a bargain.

I don't know when DVD will start selling Poly but one should expect at least one and potentially two more price increases before it happens and then likely there will also be a point per night shock when it is announced, particularly for any units on the water.
