I have a birthmark under my right eye. It spreads from the side of my nose across my cheek, about 2 inches. I think it's called a spider nevus, and was much more prominent, and widespread, when I was young.
As a 2 month old infant, I received numerous x-ray treatments in an effort to remove it. The doctors stopped before the entire course of treaments were finished, because they decided the x-rays might do more harm, then good.
The school bully used to taunt me, yelling out that I had 'dirt' on my face... My older brothers were always offering to beat him up. Maybe I should of let them.....
Yep. I have 4 birthmarks. Most of them are very light, and in unnoticable places. I do have one I despise so much, though. It's a semi-large foot shaped birth mark on the back of my thigh. Everyone's first instict is, "Oh my gosh!!! You're bleeding!!!!!" How it looks like blood, I'll never know. But, I hate it. But, I only notice it in the summer, when I wear short shorts or mini skirts.
I have a dark brown one on my right elbow. It's shaped like a chicken if you're looking at it's profile. It doesn't bother me but I have had adults and children ask questions about it.
Children asking questions doesn't bother me, but some adults ask stupid things.
My sister, me, my daughter, and my sisters daughter all have one on our right butt cheek. I never knew my sister had one until my daughter was born she saw hers and said look she has my birthmark. We were both shocked we all had the same. First thing I did when I saw my niece took off that diaper and there it was. None of our boys has any birthmarks.
I have a small white dot on my tongue. It goes all the way to the back of my tongue. That's it for a birthmark, well.........except those left from giving birth. Ewwwww.
My smallest boy has a stork bite on his upper back between the shoulder blades. My other has it on his forehead, which has disappeared except when he gets mad or cries hard. Then, it's bright as a strawberry.
i have an about 1 inch brownish mole on my lower left back. Ive gotten used to it, im 16 and hated when i was 10 but now ive realized that i gotta live with it and doesnt bug me anymore.
I have a big one on the inside of my right knee that just looks like my knee is dirty. There is another kind of splotchy one in the middle of my lower back. Then I have some kind of inverse birthmark right by my hairline - instead of being a darker spot it's almost totally white.
