It looks like a Princess cut is square/faceted, while an Asscher cut is octagonal/tiered, if that makes sense.

Just wanted to say the above ring isnt my ring just one of the images from google image of that cut.

Actually, I never heard of this cut before and its very pretty. I now want to see one in person. My husband won't be too happy about that.
