Do you have a vacation planed

We will be going to Newport, RI for Memorial Day weekend. Cape May, NJ in July, and WDW in Aug. I am also trying to plan another trip to WDW in Nov. All trips will be with DH and our two kids, DD(13) and DS(8).

I am also starting to plan a special trip for next summer when DH graduates with his BA in Business management and turns 40 and we will be celebrating our 15 year wedding anniversary. We will probably do a cruise so I am doing some research now. I love all the planning and research that goes into it!

We are planning a trip to Atlanta this summer. It will be the first vacation I've taken in six years.

Before we moved to Florida, went on vacation each year...to Florida. Now, I just never seem to get away. We want to do something together before DD goes to England for a year.

We will be driving from NC to a Collingwood, ON resort for a week in July. It will be our first time traveling to Canada- we are really looking forward to it. We plan on taking the GO train into Toronto 2 days to see the zoo, ROM, and other sights.

No. And I'm sad. It is The Summer of The Weddings, my brother is getting married AND my husband's sister. Not to each other. That'd be too easy, lol. So we have had all the wedding expenses, times 2.

Last June we went to Marco Is., Fl, where my husband's family has a condo, took my brother and his fiance, and I was on crutches. 3 weeks prior to the trip, I broke and sprained ankle. While it was better than being in Ohio, I was still in a lot of pain and it was a hassle for me to get around. I want a do-over vacation!!

We went to New Zealand in January (I'm an aussie, so it's just across the ditch for us) and we have Singapore and Hong Kong planned for November.

I have been spending today trying to find somewhere to go in July for a week............you can never have too many vacations.:cool1:

For Visa purposes, I need to return to the states before I head to Beijing, I will spend 10 days in Seattle. I will be glad to spend time with my mom, but am not looking forward to actually being in the states, as I have only been back once in 12 years! and am trying to figure out what to do with myself when my mom is at work!

We are going to Australia for almost 4 weeks. We are flying to Sydney and staying there for 5 nights (we have booked to climb the harbour bridge, do a tour of the opera house, go on a wine tour and do a harbour lunch cruise amongst other things.) Then we are going to visit my aunt and uncle on the coast for a few days before heading back to Sydney to do a few more things (including spending a night at the zoo!) After that we are going to visit my other aunt and uncle for a few days before heading off to the mountains to go skiing for a week. After the ski trip we are going to Melbourne for 5 nights to see the sights and to go to Phillip Island to see the penguins and koalas. Then catch a flight from Melbourne to Sydney to catch the flight home.

We have been planning this trip a saving up for it for a few years now and we are really looking forward to it. We have never been to Australia before and the last time I saw my aunts and uncles was almost 20 years ago!!

Just one firmly in the works right now--but it will be a fun one. We are taking back to back Med cruises.
We are on the last 7 night on the Disney Magic and then will get off and go to the RCI Liberty of the Seas for another 7 nights. :yay: My in laws are flying over from the US and doing the whole thing with us:goodvibes (I like my in laws;))

From there we´ll drive up the entire Croatian coastline and back into Italy to spend a week just outside of Padova. We´ll be doing daytrips to Venica and Verona from there. Can´t wait :)

June: Outerbanks--more specifically, Corolla, NC
renting a house for one week
August: Smoky Mountains--house rental for one week

hopefully Feb. 2012- first Disney trip with all three kids

We did this on our honeymoon, have an amazing time, we blew through our food budget in 3 days in Italy. The food was amazing and our trip turned into a feeding extravagenza!! The wine, the pasta, the lemoncello, good times! Have an amazing trip and enjoy Europe and all it has to offer, I do suggest that you watch your purse and wallet as southern Italy and Croatia, have high petty crime rates, ex: pickpocketing! and as soon as you open your mouth they will know you are Americans, their favorite targets!

Yes we do.

June we have an anniversary cruise for a week and a long weekend in Arizona.
July we will be in Cape Cod.
Late August Sanibel
October F&W
November a European repositioning cruise
December WDW

We're going camping over July 4th weekend. Otherwise...that's it. We can vacation or we can pay daycare.

I am loving reading about all the trips people have planned. I want to plan a few low key trips but nothing seems to be coming together so it looks like we will be doing lots of day trips to NYC:love:, lots of lacrosse tournaments, a few overnights to the Jersey shore and ending the year with a wonderful trip to Orlando, WDW& UNI/IOA and ending with a family wedding in Miami, both our kids are in the wedding:goodvibes

I really want to go camping but can't seem to get anyone else on board

My DH is going mountain biking with a group of friends in Moab, UT in October 2011, taking my MIL to WDW with us in Feb 2012 and my mom and I are going on the Disney Dream June 24, 2012.

We just went to Universal back in Feb 2011 and attended a wedding on Long Island in April. We'll be sticking around home for the summer.

Thanks for the tips. Sounds like you had a great time!
I had no idea I was American, lol :rotfl:

Of course you didn´t know that I´m Icelandic, and therefore live in Europe and have traveled extensively throughout it.
You´re right that we really need to watch our stuff in Italy (never been there before though) and in Croatia. Although I must say that I never felt unsafe or threatened in any way when we were in Croatia a few years ago.
