Do You Have A TV In Your Bedroom?

I just had a discussion with some people who are convinced that they "RUIN aspects of a marriage" and should "never be in the bedroom". I disagree. My husband and I, every night, cuddle up in bed and fall asleep to a movie or TV show. As far as I am concerned, it hasn't affected any aspects yet... (It's also great when you are sick in bed!)

How about you?

We've been married 25 years and have never had a TV in the bedroom. Even when I was going through chemo and could not be any sicker, I drug my carcass out to the family room if I wanted to watch TV.

We have one in our bedroom. Won't allow the kids to have one in theirs though.

No, we don't. But I don't judge anyone who does - what people do in the privacy of their own bedroom is their own darn business!

If they want a TV, a waterfall, a library, a game system, a jungle gym, or a personal dungeon, more power to 'em! :thumbsup2

Yes we have one in our bedroom.

No tv's in bedrooms here.

Not that it would interfere with anything, I just don't prefer it. :)

Yep. We don't watch it every night, and I can't fall asleep with a TV on. But we love to snuggle and watch some TV in bed occasionally late at night on the weekends. Our kitties like to join us :cat: :cat:.

Yes we have one in the bedroom, but it hasn't been turned on in over a year, probably longer. We also have one in the guest bedroom and that one never gets used either. :confused3

Have only one TV in the house. Can't really afford another one right now (see Disney vacation in December below ;))

I think we're going to hold off until we see where this 3D technology is going to go :3dglasses

Be careful. We've been married 20 years and we are still in love. But......Somewhere along the line the movie or TV show continued but the cuddling stopped:sad1:

Nope. I've read multiple studies that you get better sleep if you eliminate the television from the bedroom. Besides, there are only two things I do in there and neither require a television. I really don't care what other people do though.

yes, been married for 17 years and have always had one. I actually cant fall asleep without it on.

All the kids have one also in their rooms.

OK... so You just convinced me but what do I say to DDW when she sees me moving the TV out of the bedroom?

Oh yea. That is my sanctuary. DH and do not watch the same shows so he is in the living room and I am in the bedroom.

We had a long conversation about this at my job. I guess it's preference and you can use any excuse for why or why not.

Even of those who have one some have it lull them to sleep while others turn them off before going to sleep. I know people who keep their's on all night.

Neither is right or wrong. I cannot stand it when people decide what's good for them is the only good choice.

Oh yes and I love it because I can escape to watch whatever horror film or chick flick I've rented. DS has one in his room too.

Too funny! We don't have any of the above, but we do have a television in our bedroom.

No, but I wish I did and may get one for the holidays. My laundry room is connected to the bedroom and quite frankly I hate folding laundry so it would be nice to be able to watch tv while I fold a few loads. It seems silly to drag the laundry downstairs fold it then schlep it upstairs, plus the beagle does not allow laundry to be folded in his presence, bad things happen :scared1:
