Do You Have A TiVo or DVR?

But yes - I have a Tivo with DirecTV...don't know how we EVER managed without it before.

They are a little different, my friend has TiVo, I have a DVR from Timewarner.

I just wish you could watch another channel while recording the show you want. Even old VCRs can do that. But I agree, it is awesome. I have a Comcast DVR.

Our Brighthouse DVR has two tuners. We can tape two shows at once or watch one while taping another.

I just realized that I can rewind two live shows if I use the LAST button to switch between them.

My Timewarner DVR lets me tape two shows also.

We have Directv w/ TiVo. Love it, love it, love it! It's an absolute must w/ kids. Now, if they're late going down at night, we don't miss anything. Heck, we even prefer watching shows late so that we can fast forward thru all the commercials.

DirecTv with Tivo also has two tuners, so you can watch something else while recording another show.

Depends on how the lines are run. We have 2 tuners. Downstairs, we have 2 cables so we can record 2 programs at once. Upstairs, we can only do 1 because we've only got 1 cable running to the tuner

yep

so just picture my DH on the roof running a second line from the DirecTV dish down to the garage in the middle of march! heheh

but even with 2 tuners...it still isn't enough sometimes.

DH has realized I watch entirely TOO MUCH (crappy) TV!

DirecTV, TiVo, it is great. Let's me program the few types of shows I like (very few) and I check it once a week or so.

I have a silly question! We recently bought DirectTV with TiVo. It was a floor model, so we don't have the instruction booklet. We think we have it set to tape Jay Leno every night - but - we can't find where to see what has been recorded.
Can someone tell us where to look for that?
