Do you have a Phobia?

Bees and wasps. I used to think it was just a fear, but now I think it may be a phobia. If I'm outside and see something small fly by, I freak. If I hear something buzz, I run.

OMG, me too! I always get laughed at and called a baby, but I am just so terrified! :( -shudders- I don't even know why I'm so afraid; I've never been stung or anything. I think it's all the "Deadly Swarms" type shows my dad used to subject me to when I was younger... all those horror stories about Africanized Honey Bees and stuff. -shudders again-

That's the only thing I'm truly afraid of, so what's the big deal to others? Anyone else get scolded for their fear?

I fear spider webs. You know when you're walking through the woods and walk through one and kinda dance around trying to get it off of you and then panic sets in as your mind suddenly asks, "Where's the spider?" :scared:

Public bathrooms. It can make traveling a little uncomfortable. :teeth:

WOW! anoother fish phobia! that's amazing!!
FORGET about going into a pet store, i just start freaking while thinking about it!!

------

After i had my DS i was terrified to leave the house, i don't know why but even for my post partum check-up (my dr. is only 5 min. from the house) getting into the car i was sweating, crying, wringing my hands. i DID NOT want to leave my house :sad2: when he was about 2 months old i finally got over it, but it was scary!! still don't know why i got like that!!

Vomiting.
Crickets.
Gorillas. Yes, gorillas.
Failure.
Gaining weight.
And we have another Fish Fearer!

My worst is birds. I get panicky and nervous whenever I am around them. I am also afraid of clowns, frogs, crickets and snakes.

Snakes. No way was I gonna see Snakes on a Plane!

For DD, it's large groups of birds.
.. get those mother fudgsilclin' snakes off the mother fudgsilclin' plane.

I don't think my phobia has a name.

I can't have my feet anywhere near open dark places without getting the heebie jeebies. Heres me trying to walk across a wooden deck at night with no shoes on :tiptoe: (there's no way my feet are touching the open space between the boards). And if you ever want to see someone walk on water...just wait until I'm in a pool at night and shut the under water lights off :scared1: :teleport:

I'm TERRIFIED of spiders and tornadoes (even though we don't get them where I live).

We're moving soon and a major reason I said 'no' to certain states was because they get tornadoes too often. I remember one time in particular that we had tornado warnings, I was so scared I actually made myself sick. I've been getting a little better though!

I am claustaphobic big time (and it doesn't get better as I get older) LOL

Bridges-- I hate bridges..the George Washington Bridge creeps me out. It is so bad I got sick one time as we came up to the toll booths as I watched a semi take out the front drivers side of someones car and he just kept on going...

The Bay Bridge in Maryland scares the Bejesus out of me...It is just to high. I always am scared the bridge is going to collapse.... My hands start sweating and I feel like I can't breath....I know it is silly

When i was little i could not let my feet hang off the edge of the bed....

i was afraid SOMETHING ANYTHING was going to grap them!! wierd I KNOW! but now that i've thought of it, i bet i will NOT let me feet dangl tonite!!

I have a thing about stucco houses... stuccophobia maybe?

Seriously! My cousin was here awhile back and wanted to go to the aquarium. That was a nightmare, lol. I can't even handle the wal-mart fish section let alone an aquarium!

::yes:: YUP! we just got back from the WORLD and my poor DH wants to try Coral Reef so bad and i just think i would have a nervous breakdown FORGET about eating!!!

Him and the kids wanted to go into the Living Seas and i had to stay in the main room (where the gift shop is) and i was STILL getting FREAKED-OUT!! people that passed me must have thought i was a wierd-o!! i kept wringing my hands and sweating. NOT pretty!

tag fairy phobia
You might get what you wish for and it's spelled wrong...
now I'm posting spelling paranoia phobia

Ooooh, yes: roaches! Any size make me scream, cry, and run - far! It's horrible. I then stand there with my fists balled up to my mouth trying to compose myself! Yeah, a great sight for the neighbors alright.

Once when I moved into an apartment during college, the refrigerator was infested with roaches and I didn't know it - opened the door and they literally fell from the heavens; I nearly fainted - ran screaming from the house, gasping trying to catch my breath. I could not go into the apartment for 9 days. :guilty:

Spiders terrify me..beyond the normal dislike of them..I literally freak out completly if one is near me.

I am also terrified of heights...I have that weird feeling like i will fly off the building or fall out the window. Cannot stand being up high. (but I love rollercoasters..go figure!)
