I have a fish phobia!

wierd i know!!

but if i see a live fish too close i freak out! i can't breathe, i get goose bumps and just start to lose control. it's sooo embaressing!!

I'm afraid of water. Not like a glass of water, but large amounts of water. I can't get too close to aquarium glass, and forget about those underwater tunnels! I also don't like underwater camera shots... that view where you can see up through the water up to the surface just about suffocates me.

ETA: I'm the one at the Living Seas who stands at the railing not even LOOKING at the aquarium, waiting for everyone else to hurry up and be done already! They really need to put some benches up there. Yikes!

YES OP I know what you mean! I am like that with cockroaches! I start to hyperventilate or cry! It's freakin sad. Why I am like that with just roaches I don't know, but people blame me for just being a "girl" when I see one. It's not like that. I love bugs and love playing with bugs, but I can not take a cockroach.

I have a few phobias some worse than others. I have a problem with flying, biting bugs. I have a serious phobia about flying and a minor phobia about fire.
They can make life difficult.

Anyways, I'm not too scared of them but spiders freak me out. If I see them somewhere in the room I scream and get my om or dad to kill it- and I'm 12.

Spiders. I got trapped outside my house the other day for like 10 minutes because there was a big black spider right above the door. I could not walk under it to get back in. I tried going around the front and through the garage, but the door was locked. I actually considered waiting an hour for my son to get home so that he could go in and let me in through another door. I tried but I could not walk under it. I even had a tablecloth with me and was trying to cover myself with it and I still couldn't do it. It was awful. I finally just had to do it because I needed to get back inside.

I'm clausterphobic, + afraid of clowns, outer space and water.
I have always been afraid of clowns. I can't stand outer space b/c it's too much space
I can NOT be in water where I can't see the bottom unless I know I'm absolutely safe (like in a HUGE ship).
DH ( he was just a bf at the time) and I went into lake george with a paddle boat (he was like 200 lbs and I was like 130...the good old days) and there were huge waves. There were waves crashing into us and going into the boat and I FREAKED. He was trying to calm me down and tell me it wouldn't sink but I could see fish waiting to eat me. I made him scoop out water and sit in the middle of the boat...

I'm pathetic, I know it....


Oh yeah, I'm also afraid of most spiders and snakes. But I will kill them....

Styrofoam.

If I have to touch it, hear it, or even think about it I get goosebumps, my voice starts skipping, and I feel sick to my stomach. I hate the texture, the noises, everything about it. I have to leave the room whenever DH unpacks anything new that comes in a box because they're usually packed in styrofoam. I have a lot of trouble getting my leftovers to go at a lot of restaurants because they put them in styrofoam - DH has to transfer them to tupperware when we get home.

Apparently this was on the Tyra show the other day, my mom had to call me and tell me all about it. They made the woman go to a styrofoam factory - my nightmare!

Bees and wasps. I used to think it was just a fear, but now I think it may be a phobia. If I'm outside and see something small fly by, I freak. If I hear something buzz, I run.
