Do you have a park you have to hit first?

This thread should be required reading for the people who think that online crowd calendars are changing crowd patterns at the parks.

I usually start by hitting Downtown Disney/Disney Springs the night we arrive. I love, love, love, walking around DTD. We have dinner at somewhere really upscale like Earl of Sandwich, then head over to Ghirardelli for some ice cream, then tuck in so we can get up early for MK or Typhoon Lagoon.

We are those people who start and finish with Magic Kingdom. We never do a park on arrival day, we always go to Downtown Disney and eat at T-Rex, but then the next day, we're at the Magic Kingdom!

We go with whatever park fits our planning the best. We will hit them all. We do always prefer EPCOT or Magic Kingdom where possible, but we are okay if it a different park.

Start with whatever fits best in the crowd calendar- this time, there are Morning EMH at AK on our first day, and as we'll be up silly early due to the jet lag, we're making use of them.

Last morning before we fly out will be Epcot.

We always start and end with Epcot. It's our favorite park, but also we usually stay at an Epcot resort and walk over there until we get the text that the room is ready and then go over again before we have to board Magical Express to go home.

For years we have always started our trip with Epcot on our arrival day, with dinner at Garden Grill. We've been doing Epcot first since I was a kid, that it became a tradition. Staying at BC this year, we'll be starting and ending our trip at Epcot. We always do MK on our first full day. There is something special about getting that first nights sleep, and that first official early wake up in Disney, and starting the day at MK rope drop. Wouldn't do it any other way!

We go with the most recommended park. Strangely enough that always seems to end up being Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. I don't ever recall starting at Epcot or AK.

We spend our arrival day at MK with dinner at 1900 Park Fare. It's become quite the tradition lately!

We usually hit MK on the day we arrive. But this year we are going to arrive the Saturday after Thanksgiving and I have heard MK is insane on that day so we too may have to switch it up and hit a different park.

We're arriving on the same day! We'll be at AKL, so we may just enjoy the lodge that day. We usually go to downtown disney on arrival day, but given it will be Thanksgiving Saturday, I imagine DTD might even be crazier than the parks!

Because we come from the UK and arrive late afternoon we tend to have a night at the hotel getting to know it and resting because god dam its a long day .. But on the 1st proper full day.. Its Magic Kingdom . Got to get there for the welcome show and everything. I think the Magic Kingdom gets you in the mood for Disney like no other park can do

My ideal vision is to start and finish with MK. In my realistic vision, my son's favorite park by far is AK, and that is where he wants to start. So, the compromised version is start with AK, finish with MK.

Gotta be Magic Kingdom. With the castle like you said :)
I start there and I finish there on my last day. It's a must for Disney magic!

I like to go to HS my first day. ToT is my favorite ride so I like to get over there ASAP and hopefully make it to MK at night for my first Wishes of the trip. I always like to end on MK to say goodbye to the castle.

We always hit Epcot on our arrival day and the Biergarten for our first dinner. Then MK is a must on our first full day, starting with the morning welcome show. Our last day is also spent at MK. All my planning really happens for the remaining in-between days.

We have no preference but we do like to visit the other three parks before the Magic Kingdom which is our favorite.

Add another vote for Magic Kingdom on first day and last. No better way to start than Welcome and no better way to end than Wishes and Kiss Good Night.

Mk and Buzz lightyear is 1st
kids demand it... at least the boy twin does He is all into tradition....

I like to hit got to MK on arrival day and see Wishes and MSEP (if its on that night). The last few years, I get a FP+ for Peter Pan so that once I get checked in and drop off my luggage at the room, I hop on a bus headed for MK and head straight for my favorite ride. Other than the 3 FP+ rides I might ride something else if lines or short but more likely get something to eat and then stake out a spot for Wished/MSEP...it's the perfect way to start my vacation. After that I base my days on crowd calendars and such...doesn't matter the order.

We used to hit MK, but since we arrive 90% of the time on a Saturday and Saturday is crazy at MK, it's changed to whatever fits our plans best. Usually that's Epcot because we usually stay at the Epcot resorts, so if we get in at noon or later on a Saturday we just stroll over to Epcot.
