Do you have a park you have to hit first?

Ok. I'm betting this has been pontificated on the boards before, BUT..... Which order do you like to visit your favorite park? Do you have a park you have to visit first thing on your first park day?

Or, do you like to go to your favorite park later, to save the best for later? Just wondering other Dis folk's schools of thought. For me, it is MK. I must go "Ahhhhh" when I get there and can settle in to the trip.

I'm planning a December visit and may switch it up a bit. Not sure if I can though. (Tough life, I know). I would love to hear how other's think. Also, if maybe you have no preference whatsoever. Or maybe I'm the only one who has thinks of these crazy things.

It does nto matter to me. My DH thinks one needs to stat in the MK, but after all the trips we have taken, we have rarely started there. I swear he has nto noticed! LOL!

We usually hit MK on the day we arrive. But this year we are going to arrive the Saturday after Thanksgiving and I have heard MK is insane on that day so we too may have to switch it up and hit a different park.

We always started at AK because it closed the earliest...made it easier to get to bed at a decent hour to adjust to the time change and not be exhausted for our full MK day on day 2. Now that AK is opened late I'm not sure what we will do!

Always depends on the park hours on the day we decide to head there. Take into account EMH's, a party night, or any other factor that might affect.

We have no preference so we usually follow the crowd calendar recommendations on easywdw. Since we typically arrive on a Sunday or Monday, we spend a few hours at Epcot on the evening we arrive (since EP is usually a recommended park those days). I like to end our stay with a few hours at MK that night, but it's not mandatory.

We *try* to start and finish with MK (and usually follow Easywdw crowd calendars).
In a 16 day trip of 10 park tickets, we typically do 4 days MK, 3 days Epcot, 2 days DHS, 1 day AK, but start with MK/finish with MK. This year we have hoppers (don't usually use hoppers, but needed to purchase them as part of our package), so our plans will likely change a bit / be more flexible. The MK just seems to be an extra magical way for my family to start and finish trip.

I wouldn't say we have to hit it first, but we always seem to end up doing Epcot first. That's mainly because on our first day, we're usually arriving to the parks late (after noon) having traveled from MI that morning, so we need a park with a good evening/nightlife. Epcot's good for a few rides, a nice dinner, and an excellent fireworks show to close out your first day.

Usually whichever park is closest to the resort we are staying at. Typically if we are doing a split stay with a moderate or value the first few days, we'll go to AK our 2nd day (first full day) since you have to ride a bus there no matter where you stay. If we are at an Epcot resort, it's usually Epcot.

Our first park is usually dependent on where we will be dining on our arrival night. This year we're eating late night at Ohana but MK has MNSSHP thus closing early. We'll most likely head to DHS, hit a couple rides, see Fantasmic and head on over to Poly.
