Do you have a nickname?

The fam still calls me "Mimi" or sometimes just "Meem". Apparently when my younger sister was learning to speak and couldn't say my name right, it came out as Mimi.

My older sister usually calls me "Nerd" (said with an Arnold Schwarzeneggar accent).

:lmao::lmao: Are you still singing?

Yes! :sad2:

I thought you would be a Jenn!

A neighbor, now a good friend, nicknamed me Dutch (because I am, 1/2 at least). I'm known as Dutch mainly in the Fantasy Football world.

My DH and I call each other Alla... it's a long story and wouldn't make much sense if written down LOL!

Yes, got when I was 15 and working at a grocery store back in 1967. Only those back in my hometown call me that now.

My mom always called me Pedgie. No one else ever did.

My boss always called me Pegarooski. God knows why!

A friend I worked with started calling me Feralpeg because he said I was wild. Even though I am far from wild. It stuck.

But my question still goes unanswered :confused3 donde esta santa claus?

ooh-waa-ooh. Isn't that a fun song? :goodvibes

I don't really have any nicknames, but my DH has a funny nickname story. When he was very little, a neighbor started calling him Pete... which is not anything close to or part of his name (I would guess it came from Pete and Repeat). And his mom and three siblings still call him Pete.

When he first started to school and his mom was filling out paperwork, she asked him "Do you want to go by ___ or ___?", his name or shortened name. He told me he was dumbfounded, and said "No, I'm Pete!" Poor thing, didn't even KNOW his real name!! :rotfl:

I don't have one, but my dad had a funny nickname: Dilly. He was the last of eight kids, premature, and could be held in my grandfather's cupped hands. According to family legend, Pap took one look at dad and said "this one's a real dilly!"

When my parents became engaged, my oh-so-proper Southern grandmother asked my mother what was my father's "Christian" name; she wasn't about to announce her only daughter's betrothal to someone named Dilly! Even funnier? My mother had no idea what his given name was - she had never heard him called anything but Dilly! For the record, his name was Francis Lawrence.

Queen Colleen

argh everyone calls me Princess some in a loving way (mom, grandparents , fiance) friends because im a bit spoiled (yeah ill admit it :P)

And my fiance always calls me his boo and he's my kitty (we hadnt seen monsters inc but now we're in love with it as they have the same nicknames!)

My dad always called me twinkle, like twinkle toes because I spent my younger years always dancing around the house.

My oldest nephew started calling me "Giggle" when he learned to talk. It was one of the first words he learned, and it was so cute to hear him say it, every time I saw him, I would tickle his belly and say, "Giggle Giggle Giggle" trying to get him to say it back. Then one day, my sister came over and as she pulled into the driveway, my nephew started saying "Giggle Giggle Giggle." She came to the door and said, "Giggle! You're being paged!" So I went to get him out of her car and he looked at me and said, "Giggle!" I've been "Giggle" ever since. He's 20 now and still calls me Giggle. :)

My dads family calls me Sister Sarah, they all live far away but thats what my grandfather called me day I was born. Ive gotten calls that my brothers cell phone was found at a golf course (I dont have a brother and my only sister passed away years ago):confused3 I immediately knew it was one of the guys:rotfl:, asked which town they were in and figured out whos phone it was! Met some of their friends after years of them talking about me and they were shocked I wasnt a nun! :rotfl2:
We call my DH8 Pete, since she was a baby!

That's so funny - My dd is also a "Mimi" and sometimes we call her "Meem". Her favorite nickname is "Bertha Jane Louise Irene" which she earned because she can be such an old lady and that sounded like such a GREAT combination of old lady names :rotfl2:

YDS is "Dork" and ODS is "Goob" (but not in front of his friends! Then we call him BG (for Big Goob as sometimes Dork is referred to as "Little Goob" LOL)

I never thought about it but my family is BIG on nicknames. My mom calls my uncle "Bud" and he calls her "Nasty Ol Sis". I was the first grandchild and I had tons of nicknames: Peanut and Toots from my dad, Tootsie May from my mom and her parents, Mouse from my uncle. Later, my uncle's firstborn couldn't say my name and just came out with "Ghee" and I was known as "Ghee" or "GheeGhee Mouse" for a very long time. DH calls me Cletus sometimes when he wants to irritate me. Mostly, we just use "Baby", though. we've been pretty unoriginal in that department.

Let's see, I called my wife before we got married my Babydoll and now it's been shortened to just "B". It's odd to me to call her by her given name DanaKae. My friends called her B after they heard me call her that and I had to tell them that that nickname was for only me. Her family calls her Suzy Q. She said her dad called her Suzy Q ever since she was born.

My daughter Becca was my Punkaboo from the moment she was born and now she's my Boo. I'm the only on that calls her that. My sister calls her Becca Nicca.

My son Kyle is Bubba. Not sure where I got that from. When he was recovering from surgery to remove a brain tumor, the surgery left him unable to speak for 5 months. I would lay on the bed with him in the hospital and tell him that he was my big strong handsome brave smart boy, and that has stuck with him and seven years later he tells me that I'm his big strong handsome brave smart boy. Not sure if you would call that a nickname.

Growing up I was called Ffej. I was so left handed that I would write everything backwards. Don't get called that anymore. Other than that, I don't have a nickname, unless my wife has a name for me that she doesn't say when I'm around.

OMG...my DH's famiy is FULL of nicknames. I met them all for the first time this year over Christmas...not only did I have to remeber which cousin belonged to which uncle, but I also had to play match the nicknames to the given name!

EX.
Cousin Ryan- Pookie...only Grandma calls him "Rye bread"
DH(Jake)- Snake...only Grandma calls him Johnny Joe
Brother in Law- Peanut
Uncle Ed-Chester:confused3

I can't remember the rest of the names of the men, but ALL of their SOs have nicknames too...
Beth- Mittens
Lauren- Smalls

I felt so left out that I didn't have a nickname!:lmao: So my husband recently has decided to call me "Chuckie"......Um...if you've ever watch Real Housewives of New Jersey.....yeah.........I thought that was the funniest thing ever, so now he calls me that. Get what you ask for I guess:rolleyes:

I have 2 that are very similar yet for totally different meanings. My 2 oldest sons call me Wheezy since when I laugh really hard I wheeze.
My best friends gave me the nickname Ouiser (we spell it Weeza) after the character in Steel Magnolia's.

Yes, and it starts with a C, and one with a P:rolleyes1, I can't say what they are as they are not DIS friendly, but I can tell you it is NOT what you are all probably thinking:rotfl:
