We were watching Christmas Vacation tonight, as we do every year, and we were laughing about the nickname for Clark; Sparky. So, DH said that I need a nickname for him. I have always just called him honey, sweetie or daddy, if not just by his name. Anyway, the kids and I were laughing about it and I told him I would come up with a great one, and I'll tell him later.

SO HELP ME!!! I have no clue. If it helps, he is JUST like Clark Griswold in this movie when it comes to Christmas. Huge family man. He has road rage, but we laugh at him because it's more like Clarks road rage. He is quiet & shy but when he speaks he will melt your heart because he is such a sweet tender man and he is very caring.

Do you have any ideas?? I need to make this a good one, funny too!! It can even have something Disney related.

i can't help ya, but hubby and i call each other cakes.... after a line in a ludacris song. "you call her babycakes" we just shortened it. nobody's asked where cakes came from though, we think it's funny that's it's from a luda song.

i also call him boy. cause when i'd go visit him at work, i'd say i'm going to visit a boy and then it just got shortened to boy.

what's funny is close friends of the family will call him boy also.

This is just for fun to see what we could come up with.

His name is Mike, but during the holidays we have called him Clark after that movie. It's funny to us because my crazy great granddaddy could never get my sisters husbands name right. He called him Daryl instead of David. So over the years DH has called my nephew Jake, Josh and my niece Macy, Mary and he still calls my BIL Daryll.

I'm still thinking of a funny name....

During that time my sister started dating a guy whose last name was Buzcowski (pronounced Butch-cow-ski). Everyone called him Butch. DH (well, DBF at the time) made a comment on what a "cool" last name/nickname it was. So I (totally making fun of him at this point)started calling him peanutski.

Peanutski eventually got shortened into just plain old Nuski and that is what I still call him 10 years later. He does not love it but it's too late now! Besides...I love my Nuskie

My husband and I are boring and we just call each other "baby" but my ex was a Bill so I called him a ton of stuff including dollar bill, billiard, and billogna, which eventually got shortened to "woenee" haha. He hated it.

I call mine Boy too! I'm actually surprised to see someone else that does that because my family think's it's crazy! lol We've been together 10 yrs and started dating when we were 16, we would joke around and I would say "Listen here boy!". It just stuck. He calls me his Angel. I will call him babe a lot too, I rarely say his name. He goes by Hutch at work and one of the guys jokingly calls him Hutchy Baby sometimes and that's where I got my screen name. lol

Wow! Can I ask how it started? For us it was a pair of pants that looked very, very nice on him...

I honestly don't remember exactly but it had something to do with calling someone a (blank) pants. Like I said, I don't remember exactly but do you know what I mean? Like grumpy pants or something like that... It's very possible that we were referring to one of our cats and saying something like, "Kitty's got her grumpy pants on." Then we started referring to every emotion as (blank) pants. And then it just became "pants."

I call him my kitty because when Im tired I seem to slur my words and cutie came out kitty and its stuck for the past 4 years, then 3 years ago we watched monster's inc and he saw her calling Sulley Kitty so now he calls me Boo like on monsters Inc. So its always Kitty and Boo or I'll call him Boy and he calls me Girl.... those are the ones we tend to use

When talking to friends and family, he is "the boy" ... Gotta get home to make dinner for the the boy, or "the Boy" and I have a date tonight. My mom now calls him "the boy"

When talking to him , it is "Bae " , guess short for baby . When first dating it was "b" or "sha" , common terms of endearment from where I grew up in cajun country, but he hated it so somehow it got to Bae . l

My BF is on the boards so hopefully he doesn't get mad at me for posting this. We have a ton of little nicknames for eachother. Of course we have the basic baby, sweet heart, etc. I have a tendency to call him Love Bug or Bug for short. We tend to use nicknames that have pumpkin in it. Pumpkin muffin, pumpkin cookie, pumpkin cake, etc. etc. It's all very silly but I think it's super cute. <3
