Do you have a "never again" list? Which restaurants are on it and why?

WCC is the one of the places we'll never eat again. Service was awful and the food was worse. My husband hated the atmosphere and won't even consider staying at the Wilderness Lodge because he disliked the whole experience so much. I keep trying to tell him we don't have to eat at WCC just because we stay at the WL. :confused3

San Angel in the Mexican pavillion. It was so dark, we couldn't read the menu. The service was ok, but our server spoke so little English, he could hardly gather our order; but he was attentive and tried. The food on the other hand was not to our taste. Maybe our tastes just are for a more "American version" of Mexican food, but we preferred the outside CS place to this restaurant.
I also was not that impressed with Boma. I'd heard so much hype about this place, I really was looking forward to it, but was disappointed. I can't say "never again" as it wasn't bad food, but it just wasn't all I expected it to be.

Hmm, I'm seeing a disturbing trend regarding Boma. I haven't been in awhile so maybe it has gone downhill. I was thinking about going for my birthday next weekend...maybe not.

DH and I have crossed Rose & Crown off the list of potential dining choices.

Our first experience there together, on our honeymoon, was amazing. Great, great food...fabulous service (even got the recipe for the red onion jam which has haunted my dreams)...a lovely, relaxing meal capped off by Illuminations (we were there waaaay early for it and the waitress let us dawdle...granted, we were wearing "Just Married" buttons, but she didn't have to let us do that). We raved about the time we spent there every time anyone asked us about our trip.

Last year, everything changed. Our food was nowhere near as good, the service was abysmal, and we had an all-around bad time. It was very disappointing and definitely not somewhere we'll be returning to.

Big River...terrible food. I even have a $10 coupon and won't use it.
Sci Fi...... we felt sick afterwards
Tonys...lousy "Italian"
HDDR...did it once, was fun, food tolerable but once was enough
Ohana...why do people like this place?

There are other restaurants we are not crazy about but might try again. We tend to go to our favorites and then add in new restaurants to try.

I don't think it's just Boma. We had breakfast there on our departure day last trip and it was just as good as previous trips. Our overall feeling though, from resort to park to restaurant, was that the service level was lacking compared to previous trips. There was a sense of inconsistency that we hadn't experienced before. Maybe we were just lucky on those other trips...:confused3

Le Cellier, after this past Tuesday. What a waste of a ddx credit - the Kansas strip was the nastiest, cheapest cut of meat I have ever seen in my life. The filet was decent, but I was so shocked at the strip that we'll never go back there (especially since the cheddar soup is nothing to write home about, in our opinion).

Sadly, I have several....

Le Cellier - what's the BFD about this place? The steaks are mediocre, at best.

Coral Reef - can you say overly salted food that is completely inedible?

Yakershaus (former known as Akershaus) - Nasty, nasty, nasty.

Restaurant Marrakesh - we dined there just recently and it was terrible!

Narcoossee's - the lobster tail was rubbery and the filet medallions looked like flank steak. The crab cakes were good, though.

ETA: Can't forget CRT - YUCK! There was a roach on our table! Ewwwww!

I forgot to mention the T-Rex restaurant in downtown disney... they seated us in the "ice cave" room... I was actually nauseous from just sitting in that room...it looks like you are in an ice cave, but the lighting colors change constantly. I barely tasted my burger because I felt so sick. So, if anyone goes there, I recommend asking NOT to be seated in the ice cave!

I'm starting to think that it is a VERY good thing that we've never eaten at H&V. They seem to be on a lot of lists!!! :crazy2:

CRT! Waaaaay over priced, beyond lousy service and the food was not good at all. If you want to eat with Cinderella, go to 1900 Park Fare.

Wolfgang Puck dining room is also terrible. DH and I spent a small fortune on a 3 course dinner that wasn't enough food for a bird and resembled something that would be fed to a creature with four legs instead of two. We had tickets to La Nouba after dinner, and we stopped at McDonalds at DTD for burgers and fries right after dinner and before the show.

My girlfriend and I feel the same way. We find that we miss out on some of the experience because it's just me (26) and her (23) and no kids. We are constantly flagging down characters who skip right past us probably because we don't have any kids when the reason why we are eating at that given restaurant is for that experience.

That's really a shame. DH and I do not have kids either and we love character meals. We are both in our mid-30's. I will say, that while we have had good experiences at character meals, I did notice a big difference last summer when our friends were with us with their DS. The characters were much more engaging. Hopefully someone is reading this thread and will remember Walt's philosophy!

LeCellier was much better pre-dining plan.

ABC Commissary--food was terrible, selection terrible
Crystal Palace--dirtiest buffet I have ever seen!

Yak & Yeti CS in AK (I think that is the right one)

It was really gross. DH wouldn't even eat. Granted he was grumpy for some reason, but still. He looked at the food and just said YUCK!

We enjoyed WCC, so that goes against quite a few people and we have always enjoyed CP.

Our "never-again" is the Spirit of Aloha. The food was dry, the service was terrbile, and the behevior of other guests during the show was shocking. We will never be back.

Crystal Palace breakfast buffet. We ate there before the park opened, and I was so grossed out by how dirty everything was (looked like the carpet hadn't been vacuumed from the previous day) I don't even remember what the food tasted like. Even my 6 yr old daughter was grossed out by the bathroom. Did I visit on a bad day?

50s prime time cafe service bad and the food was worse, greasy never again waste my money. I know park food isn't the greatest no matter where it is but I got so sick:eek:

#1 never again in my lifetime until another chef arrives....Le Cellier. Obviously living on a dated reputation (can you tell I'm serious?)

We tried twice after the former chef left for Jiko.

This is the first-ever restaurant I had to return food - impossible to eat.

What was worse....I became ill both times - visits 1 year apart. Let's just say....I am now personally familiar with EVERY ladies room surrounding World Showcase - both times. Ick!

Giving them a teensy benefit of the doubt....this happened after Disney dumbed-down their food.

Runner up/honorable mention....Cindy's royal table. We left (and happily had our deposit refunded) after we discovered the menu was basically the same as POR's Boatrights....but 40% more. We had the discounted meal the night before and didn't need to repeat for the inflated price.

Le Cellier, loved it once upon a time. Now-not so much......so sad.
