I just replied to a post and realized the poster has the same "name" as my car. :rotfl: I have a black Sunfire that I named "Betsy." Betsy's been cool so far, luckily. I don't want to trade her in just yet. :thumbsup2 I think I gave her the name based on that song "Black Betty," but I changed it to Betsy for some reason.

Anyway, do you have a name for your car, and how'd you come up with the name? :)

Our current car doesn't yet have a name. It's less than two months old, and is a white Ford Focus.

Our old car, a Ford Contour which died on us, was an odd color. The name was Willow Frost. It was a turquoise blue with a gold overcoat, so it was blue, it was green, it was gray, depending on the light and time of day. Our DS named that car "Alice" shortly after we bought her, as the color reminded him of the Alice In Wonderland ride at Disneyland. I liked that name...

I don't have a name for my car but my daughter's call it "Rita" because the voice on the GPS sytem is female.

We have 2 vehicles--the first is a Pontiac Transport which we lovingly call "Big Momma" and we have a Ford Tempo which we call "Lil Momma"

Big Momma came first then we got the Tempo and it was pretty much the same color as the truck so the girls started calling it Lil Momma.

My dad had a 1972 Ford LTD when I was a teenager. I took my driving test in that thing. Passed with flying colors, even parallel parking. I used to call it the GOLD BEAST. :rotfl2:

My red ford focus (that we traded in) was Raul. It broke my heart to trade him in but he had WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too many problems.

My dh has a white vw golf and I call it birtha or helga and he HATES them....so I call them those names at every chance I get :thumbsup2

I have a silver ford freestar van and my DD#1 calls it "the famy van" (the family van). I guess vans don't get names. :confused3

I will be taking suggestions :thumbsup2

I have a mini van in the USA named Minnie! Here I drive a white Ford Expidition....I named her Zelda:Big White Warrior Woman. It fits. We have to be warriors on the road here.

I had a good friend with a camero named...Jon Claude Von Cam

Katy :sunny:

My dad always called his cars Bessy. I remember when he would be driving in the snow he would pat the dash and say "come on Bessy you can make it".

I named my car Christine after the evil car in the Stephen King book because my sister shut her finger in the car door the first time she rode in it and still clamis that the car did it. :rotfl:

I call my school bus,"Honey." My van doesn't have a name.

We don't have names for our current cars, but my first car was always dubbed Old Blue.

My little Rav-4 is "Bud" I don't know how or why, the minute I took a test drive he was just "Bud"!

Linda

My victory red Chevy Cavalier is named "Gossamer." He is named for the big hairy red "interesting" monster in tennis shoes from the Bugs Bunny Cartoons.

I even have a vinyl Gossamer hanging in one of the windows. I get a lot of smiles in traffic.

I don't, but my niece has named hers Tallulah. Another friend's 20-something daughter named her Eileen because she has to sing the song "Come On Eileen" as the car is going up hills! ;)

I love it! :rotfl:

Our saturn's name is Barry (named b/c it is Berry Red). Our Altima didn't have a name for a long time, but then I felt bad that Barry had a name and everybody's car at work had a name, so I dubbed the Altima "Timmy."

My friend named her car Jewel b/c it is Jewel Blue and her oldest sister named her car "Ice Princess" after the movie..... :lmao:

My car in college was a Mercury Bobcat (think Pinto) named Beauregard, but I don't think I've named a car since then. DD has an old blue Chevy Blazer that's what you would call "quirky". You have to have two screwdrivers and know a sort of "secret handshake" to get the back hatch to open, every time you turn on the right turn signal the windshield wipers turn on, etc. She calls it "The Boss".

Even though my current car doesn't have a name, my guitar does. Her name (yes, she's definitely a girl) is Helen.

Our cars are named Cherry and Spike.

Hey, Tootie, Spike is what we called my DD back before she was born and we didn't know whether she was a boy or a girl! Love that name!

I call my Honda CRV "Brutus". It just seemed appropriate. :teeth: My fun summer car, the Porsche, I call her "Sonic", as in Sonic the Hedgehog...cause she's fast! :car:
