DH and I have been talking, and this is something we've never taken the time to do. However with all the sensational cases in the news this year, maybe we should do it.
It came up since I'm having some surgery on Tuesday. Nothing that should be very life-threatening, should be quick and easy, but...ya never know. There's always that possibility that something will go wrong, and when you least expect it, you're in a serious situation.
They did ask during my pre-op visit at the hospital if I have a living will or any special directives. I said no, but have been thinking about that ever since. I've gone so far as to look up a form online for our state, and I think that would be sufficient, if I have our nephew (NOT my blood relative) notarize it.
Just wanted to get some viewpoints, and I figure I'll get them here! (and crossing my fingers that this doesn't become a debate!)

Not even comfortable with the way it is now.
