do you have a GIFT drawer?

I used to have a gift closet that was fully stocked but since my kids are getting older I don't stockpile for them or birthday kids anymore. I donated a huge amount of things to Toys For Tots this year out of it and I still have some things left that I plan on giving to a local battered woman's shelter.
I do stash some board games and video games just to have for a rainy day but since there isn't enough to fill a closet I keep them in a tote bin in the garage. I also have one filled with Yankee candle stuff and scrapbooking stuff that I buy on clearance.

We also make our own cards (I don't know anybody who saves cards) as they just get thrown out with the trash. By making our own card it save about 3.00. Just my .02.

Several years ago Borders had a pack of 20 home made looking cards for various occasions marked down to $2.00 a pack. I bought 2 packs and I am still using some of the cards. Saved me a ton of money.

NO.;) I found I wasted way too much time/money space on getting 'gifts' for some future unnamed event. It's much simpler, and in the end, cheaper,to look for a bargain on a gift WHEN I know I'll be needing one......what I ended up with was boxes of old crap I forgot to use,or no one ever wanted, and I gave it all away to Goodwill years ago,and never looked back! I'd rather spend 10.00 on one item, and use it well, then spend 5.00 on 3 of the same, and store it away, along with a million other things I don't need cluttering my life.:thumbsup2 I know, against the tide here.....:rotfl2:

Totally agree! I found that if you plan a few weeks before the event, you should be able to find a deal somewhere.
