On our first night we always go to Hoop De Do Review and then do hayride and watch Electric Water Parade from Fort Wilderness Beach. We arrive at 2:00 or 3:00 settle into room(Old Key West) unpack and relax for a bit then head for FW,this has become our family tradition.Do you have a first day or evening tradition?Would like to hear about it.::yes:: :wave2:

our first day we check into the floridan and eat lunch at gasperella's. then ride the monorail to the other MK resorts to visit and shop. we have dinner in the MK and go thru all the shops come back to the floridian early and watch the fireworks from our room.

It use to be Downtown Disney (or Disney Village before that) but recently I've been getting to WDW in the early morning so I just check in early and hit a park.

We go to Chef Mickey and then take visit the MK resorts. I haven't been in a few years and it will be my husbands first time there so It will become a new tradition for him since I know once he goes.... we will be going back a lot!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

We're another family that does Chef Mickey's for dinner. It's our travel dau so we don't do the parks. The kids (and DH & I, too) really get int the mood seeing the Mouse and Minnie on our first night. It breaks the tension from the flight and the getting to the hotel drive.

The last thing that I used to always do was ride TOT. Then we'd head off to the airport from MGM. Now that we have 2 DD's we have to go to get thier last ride on Dumbo! Ahh. how life changes.:D

We're another Chef Mickey's family. We usually arrive by lunch time, but we stay off site. Get settled in, swim, nap (usually up at 3-4 am for the airport). Then we do dinner at Chef Mickey's then over to Downtown Disney for some shopping!!!

We check in and then head to MGM to ride RnR. I forget how much I LOVE that ride!!

We started a tradition on our honeymoon of eating at the Concourse Steakhouse in the Contempory Resort on the first evening we are there. On our last trip to WDW, my dad was with us, and we had such a blast there. Of course, we are all a bunch of jokesters, so needless to say we were laughing the whole entire time...not for any particular reason other than the fact that we were at Disney!::MickeyMo Although the sparrows that kept buzzing right over our heads made for quite some humor.

We usually go to MK for a few hours and then head back to the Poly and eat at Kona's. This trip we've decided to stay at MK longer and eat at the Crystal Palace. We didn't eat there last trip and miss it.

Since we travel across the country via the airlines we don't arrive until late.

But the first stop after checking-in, is to buy groceries and if we still have time we check-out the outlet stores.

Settle in at OKW, take a short swim, then dinner at one of the resort hotel restaurants.

Hello,

I have been to Disney 5 times in my entire life. Number 6 will be July 22.

On the first night my family loves to eat dinner in Downtown Disney, no paticular place, and shopping is a must. This year I will be going with my girlfriend, she is a huge shopper and has already made it clear that is the first and last thing she wants to do.

The tradition continues!

The first night we arrive we jump on the monorail and take the loop ride around the lagoon. We get off at Magic Kindgom, hop the Train, take that loop around the park, then we head back to the Poly for Dinner.

We always arrive on a Sunday afternoon. We usually spend the afternoon on the Boardwalk and at the pool, depending what time of year we're there. That night we always do a character dinner, switching around where we go. A six foot mouse or pooh bear can always get you in the mood for fun!

We always check in our luggage and head for the pool - Then it's off to Chef Mickeys and Magic Kingdom for the Spectromagic and fireworks!!

We usually swim then sleep as we get in after 10PM. Boy I'd love for Gasperella's or Narcoosees to be open at that time. But room service isn't too bad either.

We usually roll into the World around 3:00 on Friday, settle in, and then go to Epcot for a quick bite, and of course Illuminations. I love watching that show. All of the torches lit, the music....It's a great start for our vacation!!!! Just a few more weeks!!:sunny:

For sharing your family traditions at WDW,I would like to add I found them all fun and wonderful things to do.I enjoyed reading each reply::yes:: Thank you all:wave2:

Our tradition is to go to the Magic Kingdom soon after we check in our Resort and have lunch or dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern depending on the time we arrive. On the last day we have dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table and some night in between we must go to the Hoop-Dee Doo.:Pinkbounc

We drive to WDW and arrive mid-afternoon, so after checking into our resort, we head to Downtown Disney for shopping and dinner. Then we head back to the resort to relax and get some sleep for our first day in the parks! :Pinkbounc :bounce:
