Do you have a favorite restaurant and the waitress remembers your order?

Just curious if you have a favorite restaurant or a regualar at a certain restaurant and the waiter/waitress remembers your order? It always amazes me when DH & I may go to a certain restaurant maybe once a month and the waitress remembers our order and drinks. I'm like wow. It's not like we go weekly to that particular restaurant. Just wondering if anyone else has the same quality service. Heck we get this at a few places now that I think about it. Even at Quiznos!! This guy remembers the certain subs we order. We only go there once every few months. Talk about good service!!

Before the ground round near us closed down, they always knew what we ordered....they knew our names and asked about ourhobbies and games every time

Oh my god!! We have a Ground Round where I live and this is one of the restaurants where they remember our order. Talk about coincidence.

We go every almost Friday night to a local Mexican restaurant, and have for many years. My DH's cousin is a waitress there. If we don't show up on a Friday night, and haven't mentioned to them ahead of time that we have plans, they always ask cousin where we are, and if everything is OK. LOL. Most of the waitstaff knows our usual for drinks and appetizer, but they ask anyway because once in awhile we break out of our rut

No, but I get a royal greeting on the rare occasion that I visit the local bar that DH frequents. It's Norm-like on a grand scale. They clear a seat at the bar next to DH for me and my beer gets placed before I'm done greeting the regulars.

He's a Raiders fan and he's known as Oakland Joe there. They call me Mrs. Oakland!!

I have to "turn this one around", as I'm the waitress who remembers certain customers' orders!!

It's amazing how your memory tends to improve when you start waiting tables. I never thought I would remember the stuff I do.

I think customers like it when you remember what they usually like to order. I do ask before I just "assume" though, 'cause you never know when they just might make a change.

I can't say that any wait person in a restaurant does, but in two of the three Starbucks I frequent, two of them remember what I drink! And I can just imagine how many people they serve on their shift.

This happens to me when I go with my parents to their favorite restaurant. All the waitresses know them and that 95% of the time they order the same thing. The boys go with me when they have a day off from school and 2 of the waitresses have already figured out what older DS will get and have younger DS narrowed down to his 2 usuals.

Looooooooong ago when I worked at Pizza Hut back in the kitchen we had names for our regulars....the Cavatini Lady, the Personal Pep., but our funniest was the anchovy guy. He always got a small thin crust with American sausage, onions, black olives and anchovies. We are all in a hold your breath scene when the Anchovy Guy came in with a woman. Same pizza except medium and anchovies on only half. Word of caution.....anchovies on half doesn't work since the oils spread to the whole pizza.

Oh Yeah. We eat breakfgast at a lkocal restaurant dailyt, they start cooking dw's eggs when they see us pull up in lot, and nine out of ten her orders ready time i get to counter, mine they wait cause i hate the same breakfast daily so i alway get a different one, Now ouyr favorite mexican rest, thats a diff story, they always ask, but pretty much know our order is 1 sweet tea, 2 cokes, a mixed fahita platter, pollo ala parilla, and a nachos deluxe no guacamole, this place we are regulars enough we know every one even the cooks by name, and taste of food. Last night we came in the owner came to our table to check on me since we werent in on reg night, 5 waiters came to table and spoke. Three orders of cheese dip and an order of "special" hot sauce was on tabler with out us asking, the one waitress working came by as we were che king out and wouldnt let us pay till we had all hugged her so yeah we get remembered all time

Yes, we do. It is a mexican restaurant. THey know drink and food order. Always ask about DD if she is not with us. We love eating there.

Yes! At our local Chili's restaurant, our waitress has our orders memorized, (although, mine she has written down-It's kinda lengthy!) and we always ask for her! She is like a member of the familly!!!!

The Black Eyed Pea is where Deborah remembers us and what we usually order. She just automatically brings me a tea and my mother a water.

Oh my...what good memory this brings!!

We used to eat a place called Yesterdays. We had this server that was the best we have ever had and she would always remember just what we wanted and would seat us at our favorite table. She was THE BEST!!! She even remembered what we each liked on our baked potatoes,how we lliked our Prime Rib,what we wanted to drink,and come to think of it she even remembered our Anniversary!! This young lady was wonderful and we still miss her and the restaurant.

I remembered something else... When I was a manager at Wendys we had a customer that came in the same exact time each day and always ordered the same thing. Single cheese mayo tomato and lettuce and a medium Dr. Pepper. About once a week we gave it to him free for being such a good customer. If he did not show up we would call to make sure he was ok. I saw where he died a few years ago and it made me really sad.

We also go to a Mexican Rest where the Manager remembers us and knows what we will order. We have been going to this place since before Jennifer was born and she (manager) always makes an effort to stop and talk to us and our dd. We have been taking Jennifer there since she was 1 week old.

We have a restaurant where we go for lunch and the chef knows my husband's order.

For me it's an ice cream store and they know my fav flavor is choc marshmallow so if they are out of this flavor I don't buy any other ice cream so they call me when they get choc marshmallow in!

Now that I'm going to Curves I have to watch those calories!

So does a pizzeria count? When ever my DH calls they know his voice, what he orders, and where to deliver? Of course the fact that it is on our speed dial tells you how ofter we order.

Oh this is so funny. My dad and I had a conversation about this not long ago. He loves it when waitresses remember him & his orders. I can't stand it. I am so uncomfortable when that happens. Makes me feel so conspicuous. I never go to that place again. Guess I am in the minority. But I'll never tell him LOL.

Dontino's in Cuyahoga Falls -- for all you NE Ohions! A couple of days ago Suzy said, "You mean you don't want the......You always get the........" Like, was I crazy? I never order that!!! I love her! And I love Dontino's

A couple of the guys I work with and I go to coffee at a few places fairly faithfully.

One place has their coffee and my tea ready as we walk across the parking lot. Right down to the honey packet on top of my cup!

Another place rushes to make a fresh pot when they see one of my coworkers coming...he has a rep for getting irritated if the coffee runs out!!

Another place waits to see if we're eating, then calls back our order exactly...i.e. I ask for a breakfast burrito, and I get it smothered, with cheese, minus bacon. My buddy says a burrito and gets no cheese, extra chili. Works great, and saves time so we can chat about the Rest boss's latest gambling junket.....and where the fish are biting!!
