Do you hate math?

I heard the White Noise in my ears when it was time to do math.

I LOVE math !!!
ALL math but especially algebra !!
The only thing about math that I don't like is "the therory of i". Math is concrete, and there's no room for imaginary numbers !

I dislike math and struggled with it in school. In fourth grade, long division almost drove me mad with frustration. During the first two years of high school, I did well in algebra and geometry. Algebra II was a challenge and I was lost in senior year pre-calculus. I did not take any math as an undergraduate, but did take stats as a grad student and did well.

Spent 2 hours with the Statistics tutor this morning...

yup, HATE stats! Love math, algebra, geometry, but Stats- NO WAY!!!

I hate it.....and I dont use the word hate very often!

Math has always been a struggle for me. But it's funny that I've also heard that if you love to do puzzles you're probably good at math. Puzzles, brain-teasers, rubix cubes - bring 'em on! Math - ugh!!!

I don't mind math if it is stuff that the average person can do. I just can't stand the complicated stuff.

I love math. I minored in it in college. I would have majored in it, but there's nothing you can do with a math major other than teaching math.

I find myself doing math in my head at the oddest times. It's a time killer when I'm bored

I love math and I love teaching it.

It makes me so happy when I get kids that hate math in the beginning of the year and then they tell me how much they love it at the end.

I did vote, but I was looking for an option of...

"I hate, despite, and generally are sickened by MATH!!"

I am a 40-something woman and I have never gotten past hating math. In fact, I am a substitute teacher and I refuse to sub beyond the fourth grade level because I refuse to deal with the math!!

I am SURE that someday they will discover a dsylexia type of disorder that is MATH related.... and I have it!! I don't want to bore you with the details, but I JUST DON'T GET MATH!! And my engineer, math-brained husband just doesn't understand. Neither do my TWO math teacher SILs!! And my kids have NO problem with math.... in fact, DD is in an accelerated class! I am a total math idiot surrounded by math brainiacs! My husband also can't understand how I "get" abstract concepts in literature and art and such, but I can't understand concrete facts in math. Oh well. Good luck with this topic!...........................P

I used to think I didn't like Math but I've taught it so much in some long term subbing jobs that I actually understand it and like it.

I love math. Math was my favorite subject in school. I didn't major in math. I majored in chemistry, and later received a degree in physical/theoretical chemistry. For me, thinking about math and doing math problems is deeply recreational and relaxing. I took enough math through undergraduate and graduate school to have majored. I went on to medical school, because there really aren't many jobs for people who just love to do math, actually. Things like accounting seem a bit tedious to me.

I'm an engineer. If I didn't like math, I'd be in REAL trouble. DH is a math person as well, with an engineering degree & computer science. Both of my brothers are in math/science related fields. It just "clicked" for our family.

I'm kind of weird - I'm pretty good at math, but I REALLY don't like it.

My brother is the same way. My brain just isn't wired for higher math, but I do enjoy it when I understand it.

Meh, I don't love it, but I don't actively dislike it, either. I'm a computer science major, so I sort of have to put up with it.

I did kind of hate geometry, though...all those theorems, etc. Blech. My teacher was a nasty witch, too, which didn't help the situation any.

I love math. It has always come so easy to me. Now I hated English. So many boring books that I was forced to read and write a report on!
