Do you go to crops?

I may have to try some of the page kit ideas at the next crop I go to. Friday was my first and I had a blast. I finished 8 pages in my 6 hours which is really good for me but I too found myself walking around the store trying to find embellishments that would fit in the extra space instead of saying I can just print a different size photo if I need to. My friends and I are going to try and do this once a month so hopefully I'll get some good practice in.

Wow, 8 pages in 6 hours is impressive! I do love doing kits and they are some of my greatest pages.. I actually started my day that way because I just couldn't get going. It was a crazy morning (it was pouring) and I was drenched. So while I enjoyed my large coffee and bagel, I just started on my kits. I got better as the day moved on and finished 6 pages and and a 10 booklet. (and mine was 12 hours!) So you see, you did much better than I did!

I've been but it doesn't really work for me. I have a scrapbook room and I prefer to have people come to my house to scrap and know where everything is and such. Also, I don't want to plan on what I may / may not need when I can just fly by the seat of my pants at home. When I need it, I know where it's at.

I am going to a scrap this weekend at Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio. It is so fun! The scrap is sponsored by Creative Memories consultants and anyone can go. I don't use very much CM stuff, but I love the scrap weekend. :) We arrive at 6 Friday night and can scrap until 2 am. We spend the night in the hotel and start scrapping again about 9 am Saturday and leave around 9 pm Saturday night for home. The weekend can include Saturday night and a session on Sunday, but the 2 days seems to be enough for us.

This year instead of my standard Disney-a-thon, I am making my father in law a scrapbook of pictures of he and my husband for Christmas. It took me quite some time to round up photos of them together, especially when my dh was small, but I have about 60 or so. My fil will love this gift and dh has agreed to do some journaling for the book.
