Do you give your car a nickname?

We did not nickname our cars, but we did nickname our GPS...she's Estelle.

Of course, I name my cars.....


My first car was my 'vette. A Chevelot Chevette that is. LOL!! Her name was Sydney. Syd for short. I had her over 10 years.
Then I bought a bright yellow Geo Metro convertible that I named Blondie.
Next was a Candy Apple Red Sebring convertible I named Candy.

Then came the kiddo #1, so I got an Infinitit QX4. I named her Frankie. Shortly after kiddo #2 arrived I went with a minivan. A Honda Odyssey. I never gave this car a name. I never really liked it, but felt it served a purpose.

Kids are older now. I still need room to haul kids though, so we traded the van for a Toyota Highlander Hybrid. She is green and we named her Emma, and we love her. LOL!!!

I hope to get back in a rag top though once the kids are grown and out on their own though.

Our 05 Focus is named Optimus Prime...my youngest dd Holly (now five) named it this years ago cause its blue and she loved the movie lol..

I'm not very imaginative and don't often refer to it this way, but my car's been called The Silver Bullet. Previous cars were both Red Rockets, part 1 and part 2.

yes. my 2009 blue honda fit's name is demyx. demmy for short. and the navigation on the inside is lola.

my friends name their cars too. so far we have:
syaoran (little wolf)
mokona
squall

its good to know we arent the only ones that do this.

We don't give our cars names, but we did name the car that we bought for our daughter to use while she was in high school/college.

It was an older Dodge Coronet, that we bought at a local auction sale (we knew the woman, and knew the car had gotten good care) and we named it Bessie. It was a big, old boat of a car but served her well for several years and we sold it later for exactly what we paid for it.

My '97 red Sunfire was "The Strawberry Box" - named by the spouse. It even had little strawberry air fresheners hanging from the rearview window. When I traded that car in - I left the strawberries... couldn't bear to separate them, it seemed wrong.

My new car is an '08 Malibu - we just call it "The 'Bu"...
