Do you get your Deposit Back?

Question...thinking about booking a late January 2009 trip to WDW. I know you have to put a deposit down when you book ($200?) The deal is, we're not 100% positive we want to go then...so if we cancel it in a month or two will we get the deposit back or is there some sort of cancellation fee?

Yes. You will get 100% of it back. If you cancel within 45 days then you face a penalty for canceling within the 45 day time-frame from your travel date.

Yep this is correct! We had to cancel in 2006 and got every penny we had paid on the trip back into our account in about 5 days.

Just don't add the trip insurance to it until you decide to go. Otherwise you get all back as long as in 45 days if package. If I am not sure like for my trip in Oct I just put $200 down have until Sept 13th to pay all but still don't know. I will call them once I am down there in Sept to see if I really want to go back & back again in Nov/early Dec

Thanks, everyone...love being able to get this info (without a long distance call to guest services!) And glad you mentioned the insurance, tiger, I would have added that automatically...I always do. (And so far, it's worked...we've had the insurance & we've never needed it! I guess I'm really just insuring that my vacation will cost more! )

we have never had to cancel... but that is nice to know
