I do, but not like I did when I was young, we all know the dangers of the sun, but still like to keep some color going on

Yes, despite religious use of SPF 50. Only on my arms and neck. And my Doctor yells at me. I haven't had a sunburn in years, but I swim for an hour twice a week year round. Plus an hour a week doing yard work, and just life.

I'll get a slight tan by September. I'm not pasty white, but I have fair skin which could burn easily without lots of sunscreen.

No. I only come in two colors - red or white. I prefer white. Red hurts too much.

I, basically, use sun screen every day as my lotion of choice.

This sooooo..... much. During the winter I am stark white.... during the summer I'm stark white with a few freckles and sunburn ..... not a good look.

It's sort of funny... the first few times I went to Orlando I was totally self-conscious about this but at some point I just decided to not stress about it and thought I'd rather avoid skin cancer by slathering myself with sunscreen. I sunscreen everyday (even in Canada) and multiple times. When I'm in Disney I just think of myself as blonde Snow White -- it makes it all better...

I decided I'd just let everyone else worry about me out in the sun with my ultra white skin. I know there are people who look at me and think "She'd better have sun screen on".

I do get tan. not because I try. Just happens.
I used to get really dark when I was young, not as much anymore.

My mom gets tanned even with sunscreen and without trying. One outdoor tennis match and she looks like a "buttery biscuit" as we'd say in the south. She does not "tan" though.

My mom walked 3 miles a day until a month before her 89th birthday. Cancer and a stroke forced her to stop. What I learned, if you keep moving, you will keep moving longer.

{{sigh}} I only ever get a stupid-looking "farmer tan" :sad2: . I've got a horrible one right now from having been on vacation last week - complete with a stark white stripe across my collar bone and upper chest from where the strap of my cross-body bag was. With my dumb skin that mark will still be visible at Christmas. And if that isn't quite aweful enough, as of this morning I notice my lower arms are starting to peel where they got a little scorched.

My winter color is Pasty White Like Mayonnaise. My summer color is Slightly Not As Pasty But Still Pasty. Largely because I use SPF 50 else I burn to a crisp.
