Do you get a lot of Christmas cards?

I get fewer every year. Wish I could start over and be better about sending them. I miss them.

I send and receive quite a few. I’m in my 70’s, so maybe it’s a generational thing?

I send about 25 a year. I receive about 7-10. I hate to talk on the phone and love things virtual, but I still believe in handwritten thank you cards and other written correspondence.

I send out 32 and about half of the people send one back.

It’s something I enjoy and string them along my living room arch. I kept some of my favourite ones so one day if I don’t get any in return I will put them up…lol Some of these are from my aunt and uncles that are no longer with us.

My kids say I could be just like Mr Bean and buy a box and send them to myself…lol

When our kids were small we sent out photo Christmas cards. This was pre-Facebook when pictures weren't shown off every day. We received a lot of cards in return. Now that we no longer send cards we get very few, mostly from family, some with newsletters (brag-a-thons) enclosed.

One cousin liked to send lengthy newsletters -- all in rhyme -- a bit much. I was glad when she stopped. A nephew (50-ish) still sends out what he considers humorous annual updates on his family. I don't bother to read them.

We send about fifty and receive back about forty. I do the picture cards and people always make comments how they love getting the cards. I do appreciate photo cards as well. It’s nice to see kids and families grow year to year, and I save them in my photo album.

No and I’m totally fine with it. We get about a dozen and that’s about how many I send out too. I’d be fine if I didn’t have to send any out.

Used to receive a lot, and sent a lot too. I stopped sending a couple years ago, and really don’t miss it. It had gotten to be more of a chore that I dreaded rather than looking forward to. I think last year we received 8-10 maybe.

Same here. Most of the cards were from family and long time friends who have passed away.
Also, a lot of families of divorce just stop sending cards, some sadly, cut off all ties with friends from their married years.
And some of our friends have always been known to march to the beat of a different drummer. One friend's family has never done Christmas cards, but they put out a family letter at the end of January wishing everyone a happy new year. And another friend puts out a family letter at Easter time.

We get maybe 25. Marie will send out maybe 15-20, more Thanksgiving and New Years cards than Christmas. Most of the ones we get are family picture cards. I really like those, seeing the families growing year by year. It is less and less each year though, receiving and sending.

We send out 40-50 and receive about 20-30 in return. We don’t post photos of our kids on social media and relatives have told us they look forward to seeing updated pics of the kids every year. This year we will be sending out newborn announcements so we won’t be doing our normal Christmas card but everyone will still get their yearly photo from us so it counts haha.

I get fewer and fewer every year too.
I do send them, but my list is getting shorter and shorter. I send a photo Christmas card, which is more expensive, so I only send them to people that I know will really enjoy seeing it and not just toss it in the trash.

Oh, I remember the days of writing on each card and sending out at least 40!!!
I am so glad that is over. I still send one to my 102 y/o aunt and out of town relatives - less than 5 cards are sent.
I have arthritis of the hands and writing is difficult for me now, so I really don't miss it.
