I'm from Pittsburgh and even though I have friends who drive I would never do it. Too long, about 16-18 hours.

I voted for fly, as it's a long way so that's what we do most of the time. But we have driven a couple times (nearly 24 hours drive time), and I own a small airplane that we have flown down a few times too (about 8 hours).

It's flying for us.

Driving will take us two days with rest stops and an overnight somewhere along the way. With flying, its 2-3 hours to the airport then we're 2.5 hours in the air.

We fly. So much easier to sit in a plane for an hour and a half compared to 8 hours in a car.

I hate flying so I try to get DH to drive to any vacation, but we drove to WDW last time so when we go for our next trip we are flying. I wish we could drive again, but DH hates driving so we try to alternate driving/flying on our vacations.

Hey neighbor. We are just northeast of Pittsburgh and we have been driving for the last 8 trips or so. Our drives typically take 14 1/2 - 15 hours. We usually make 3 quick stops on the way for gas/food/bathroom breaks.

I drove it once. It sucked.

There were 9 of us in two cars so it was cramped. Even though 6 of the line were licensed drivers my sister and father insisted they wanted to drive all the time. We stopped twice (VA and GA) for the night so it took forever. Yeah it was bad. All this because my sister refused to fly and my parents didn't want to make her do it alone. I so wish DH and I had just insisted on flying anyway and meeting them there.

Every other time we have flown. I haven't paid for a flight in 2.5 years though (unless you could the 22 dollars in gov fees) because work has me fly so much and always at the last minute that I have enough points to go wherever SW will take me and not worry about prices though. So much nicer. I leave my house and can be at Disney less then 8 hours later (1.5 hours to nearest airport, 1.5 hours at airport if I'm checking bags, 3 hours to fly, and that gives 2 hours from landing to disney) much better then 3 days.

We drove the last two trips from Baltimore. Not bad. This past one we drove straight thru. Girls 10,7,2. It's a long drive but I like having my car down there. Just easier. Plus saves a ton of $$$$. And if drive thru night kids are asleep for most of time. I though I might be tired after 15 hours thru night and then right to Epcot to make fast pass and dinner reservation. Adrenaline!!!!!

Not much of a choice for us... I won't fly, period...so it's drive or Amtrak... We've done plenty of Amtrak trips but we're back to driving again...

We're from northeast Ohio, 16-18 hour drive...34+ hour Amtrak trip....

Even though the train is twice the time, I prefer the stress free, both can relax Amtrak trip.. Only bother to me is the 8 hour layover included in the time total...

Comparable in price...car travel is stressful...but we push it to make it driving straight thru ( at 65 yrs old ) about done with that...

Drive as during our "Florida Season" we are only 24 miles away. But, to get to our Florida location we fly.

We have split evenly between driving, taken the train and flying. They all have their pros and cons.

It won't let me vote, but we drive. It is 14-15 hour drive from Ohio, but we don't mind it. We are about three hours from the airport we have flown from, and driving is much less hassle for us. We leave right after school in the afternoon and drive straight through, so we arrive early enough to check in, grab breakfast and get to a park in time for opening.

Drive. It's only 8 hours and gas is $100-150. I can't get one plane ticket for that cheap and I can bring as much stuff as I want/need.

We drive. My husband would prefer to fly, but I don't like it, plus it's expensive with our large family of 7. It's a 14 hour drive. We get the kids from school and drive straight through on the way. On the way home we take 2 days to get home. Never in a hurry for vacation to be over and exhausted.
