OK - I was on the website/blog of an aquaintance last night and have been thinking about this today so thought I'd throw it out there.
She married this guy a couple years ago, he had two little boys from a previous marriage that he has custody of. They both post on this site - he seems to always be doing something with his buddies, going out of town, etc. Anyway, several times on the blog he's posted that "his wife" did this or that well and he was "rewarding her" by taking her shopping somewhere or by (for example) giving her his old rims/wheels when she found him a good deal on some new ones. The whole "rewarding her" thing rubbed me the wrong way, so I'm wondering if anyone else thinks it sounds like someone talking about their child instead of their spouse.
I wouldn't take well to my spouse telling his buddies he rewarded me for doing good by letting me buy a purse. (maybe that's why I don't have one, lol. A spouse, not a purse. I have lots of purses, they don't argue.)
