Do you feel that one resale company is superior to the others?

I realize that there's a company that sponsors here, and believe me...they're number one on my list that I look at each day. What about the others though? I know fidelity is mentioned maybe second? It looked like there was a time that there were some issues with them, have those been resolved? Their prices seem higher than TTS too, no?

What about the "others"? There's at least one other one I've looked at now that prices seem good but I've not seen them mentioned really on here? I don't want to waste my time looking at some of these oter sites if people haven't had good experiences.

Thanks,
Shannon

I think it all depends on your bottom line. All four of the main DVC resale brokers have gotten great reviews on here (sprinkled with some not-so-great reviews here and there).

The sponsors of these boards get a lot of sales and are usually among the quickest at getting transactions complete, but there can be sometimes less room to negotiate on the contracts listed on their site.

If you're looking for a bargain, Fidelity may be more up your alley. They will present any and all offers on the contracts listed on their site.

I completed my first contract purchase using Sharon from Fidelity and she's helping me find a second contract now. She's been awesome to work with (as is her partner Rachel).

I've also made contact with the other three brokers and they were all very responsive with answers to my questions.

I had a great experience with Sharon at Fidelity - I found Fidelity to be very responsive and the transaction went smoothly and quickly. I contact all four of the major DVC resale brokers - I felt that Fidelity was willing to work with me and helped the deal come together. From a pricing standpoint I think the listing prices vary in some cases based on the sellers expectations and whether the seller has a loan outstanding on their points. I've heard that Fidelity gets referrals from DVC from members that want to sell and may have loans outstanding this limits the amount that those sellers are willing or able to accept on their resale and may make those resale prices look higher. I would make an offer based on what you think is fair, regardless of the listing price - and you should find a contract that works for you.

I think they are all good, it comes down to finding the contract that fits your needs. Whichever has the contract you are interested in with the resort, amount of points and UY that you want or need to match what you already have bid on it. If the price isn't what you have budgeted move on to the next one. I used fidelity as it had the most selection of bwv contracts and I got a good price.

Another vote for Sharon at Fidelity and I just recently closed on my contract. She was really great throughout the entire process!

Any broker should present "any and all offers" If they don't then they are violating thier duty to the seller.

I have used DVC by Resale several times and been pleased. Never bothered with Fidelity based on reviews (most of my recent activity is selling so the "volume" actually works against them) I have used the board sponsor once to buy and once to sell. Buy went great. Sale was slightly more problematic as the communincation was not good.
