Do you feel strange knowing so much...

...about other posters on an internet bulletin board? I admit that I do.

I'd like to admit here and now that I like to read here and on the planning boards, as well as some of the other boards, more than I guess I post. I sometimes lol at some of the things people post and feel as if I might just hop on and join in the fun when I realize, "These people don't know me!"

And then there are the more private matters. I may read but not necessarily post to those threads. When they post again pn another matter, I might remember the username and think, "Oh, that was so and so with the 57 speeding tickets."

Anyway, wondering if I'm alone in feeling guilty.

Pop, that is why I feel I know you so well! I do know what you are saying, thought I only recently been to match up people by what they have said and their name. I do not feel guilty because people have posted and allowed me to form an opinion about them based on what they say. Pop daddy I bet you don't know me at all- here is a little help-

Oh no no!! I didn't mean to suggest that you (or anyone)SHOULDN'T post! I'm not offended or anything! I just feel almost like I'm PRYING, sometimes. Like some info might be posted just for acquaintances on the DIS but I go ahead and read it. I feel a little bit nosy (even though I realize people post SO that others COULD read).

And the thread was absolutely not directed at you, or anyone else in particular. Just a thought that struck me and I'm trying to clear my conscience a bit, I suppose.
