Do you fear/hate going to the doctor?

I think it goes back to the day when I was diagnosed with MS, ever since then, I absolutely hate going to the doctors. Any doctors. They all freak me out totally. I can hardly breathe I'm so nervous.

As you might have guessed, I have an appointment today. I'm a wreck. If I survive, I'll see you all later.

Does anyone else get this crazy about doctors?

I HATE getting on the scale. WHY, everytime? I know how much I weigh, I know I need to lose a few. It's embarassing.

Especially the dentist, gastroentologist, and the dreaded yearly female exam.

General check-ups, going in for a cold, and allergy doctor don't bother me, though.

I wouldn't be at all worried if I had an appointment with my doctor but a hospital appointment - YES!

Yes! I HATE going to the doctor. WOuld go to the Dentist every day for the rest of my life if I never had to go to the doctor again. Seems like everytime I go, they find something wrong with me

The only thing I fear is getting on the scale to be weighed! I love my PCP to pieces, he is very personable, takes his time and doesn't rush, makes small talk and really seems to care about his patients.

I get nervous right before a doctor's appointment, but I have no earthly idea why. I really like my family doctor and the doctors at my OB/GYN group, and I feel really comfortable around them. I do have a progressive autoimmune disorder, though, so I guess it's always in the back of my mind that it could be getting worse. Even that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, since all of the signs that it would be progressing would be things I wouldn't be able to overlook.

There was one time I had to go see a neurologist for dizzy spells. I was soooo nervous I couldn't walk heel-to-toe like he asked me to do. I usually get nervous though.

I feel that way when I have to go to the eye doctors. Hate it!

The eye doctor is the only one I DON'T mind going to...which is good 'cause I've been ther a TON since January. I do get nervous when I walk in and see a super posh Trump-style waiting room...I know the bill will be outrageous. At least that has been my experience around here so far.

I don't mind going to the doc too much, I'd rather not go though lol It's mostly because of my insurance which is a pain in the butt and only covers certain things in certain time periods and secondly because I am afraid they will find something terribly wrong with me. I would go to my PCP everyday for a year to not have to go to the dentist ever again, I DETEST going to the dentist. It just irks me that I always leave with a mouthful of pain, nothing being totally fixed and having paid a huge bill for it, like "here's payment for making my mouth hurt, guys! I'll be back every week for a month and pay you ridiculous amount of money until you finish the "job" you started! thanks a lot!". I'd hate going to the gyno too if I had to go more than once a year, I don't mind it though since it's not so often and I like to get it over with, just an uncomfortable situation though.

I hate having to stay in one place and have anything "done" to me...so in my book, hair cut, manicure, etc. are as hated as doctor or dentist. I hate the dentist most of all. I got a crown about 6 weeks after I'd had a c-section. I sat there the whole time thinking how I greatly prefered the c-section.

My ex is a dentist and he's very good looking. I'm sure the ladies don't mind going to visit him for their dental appt.

I absolutely hate going to the doctor. Even when I was little I hated it. In third grade I broke my arm and I knew it, but hid it from my mom (thinking it was going to get better by itself) just not to go to the doctor. Finally I was in so much pain I couldn't do it anymore and fessed up.

The only time I would go to the doctor is when my mom would force me to get a flu shot, so once a year. Now that I am older I get my flu shot at work.

When I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, I hate going even more because I have to do that fun check-up, every 2 months!!!

I don't know what it is about doctors but I just hate it.

I read a magazine article years ago that the main reason women do not like going to doctors was the scale! That didn't shock me at all!

I hate going to the doctor because of the 3 hour wait I always have to endure ( after making an appointment weeks before, no less) DON"T get me started!!!!!
Sitting there in a room full of sick people, if I'm not sick when I go in, I'll be before I leave.
And they always wonder why my blood pressure is fine at home but high there

I hate going to the doctors(any type of doctor) so much that it always rises my blood pressure(my blood pressure is fine the rest of the time).
