I like fun, inane posts, too. I was just trying relate with my own admissions and hope it didn’t come off as stuck up. I like the energy you bring to the boards.

And I like handing out “likes”. It’s adds another layer to communicating.

It soured me on social media in general. On FB or X or Threads people will type horrible things at you that they'd never say to your face.

I get excited when I generate a "like" or two here on the DIS but that's as far as my social media desires goes.

The most recent time this happened though was when on a Disney FB group I'm in, someone said they thought Homecoming sucked and KFC was better. I commented that they're fine to not like Homecoming, but KFC is disgusting.

Then people proceeded to go to bat for KFC as well as fight over which restaurant had the best chicken: KFC, Popeyes or Chick Fil A. In my mind, I was like "Dang, you people are defending KFC? Man..."

No not at all. I'm not a big social media person. I'm on FB to keep up with family and friends out of province but that's it. Have maybe 150 friends. Plus I'm in a few FB groups.

I remember those days well. And consistently 7 to 8 pages of new postings every day. And many nighttime posters. It was active 24 hours a day back then.
