I had to call a colleague of my brothers today, they went to law school together. When I introduced myself I said " oh I have a message for you, I'm Bobs little sister, he said to say...."

after the conversation I thought how ridiculous is that?! I mean I'm in my mid 30's my brother is in his mid 40's and I'm no longer "little" LOL Obviously I will always be younger :p but will I ever outgrow being a "little sister"?

I always refer to my sister (38) as my "little sister"...probably always will.

I guess its more of how I view myself than how he views me, does that make sense?

I always think of myself that way, the "little sister" and I have 3 big brothers. I just wonder if that will ever change?

I find I slip back into that role at times when around my sister. :earseek: Could be why I haven't seen her in quite a few years.

I don't think you ever do. I am the youngest and I am always referred to as the little sister. I don't mind especially now that they are all over 40! ;)

I am 33 and I will always be my big brother's little sister :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Kindered spirit!!!!!!!! I have 3 older brothers too! (and no sisters.) So not only am I the only girl, but I was the baby by 6 years too. I don't think I will ever think of myself as anything other then the "little sister" in regards to my brothers.

I know they think of me as more then just a little kid now. At least one brother, but he really depends on me a lot to help with his kids (he is a widower.) My other brothers will most likely always think of me as their little sister. :teeth: I have learned to accept it.

I had a patient when I was a therapist who he always refered to his younger sister as baby sister. She was 47 years old. :rotfl:

When I call my oldest sister she immediately turns on her "goo goo" voice and announces, "it's my BABY SISTER, Butter!! :rolleyes2 "

And I'll be 50 on Saturday.... :bitelip:

Well, in our family our places as big or little sisters seem to be cemented. It even extends to how we act towards each other. I have a much younger sister that we have all babied over the years and sometimes I think we won't ever let her grow up. It's a good thing she's so easy going.
