Do you ever feel SNUBBED on certain boards?

On some of the boards (Not the CB) I sometimes feel snubbed. I get no answers to some of my threads and another person will have tons on a thread very similar to mine a few days later.

On some, people don't even look at them.

Has this happened to you? or am I overeacting?

Its actually very rare that I go to another board. I mostly spend time here. I actually ask my restuarant/resort questions here most of the time too...LOL!

I figure I know most of the people here so I would trust their answers more anyway.

I have felt that way too at times. The one that really turned me off actually happened on the CB. I got replies to my question but it was turned into a joke between 2 posters. I just don't read their posts now.

The trip planning boards are very busy, so it's easy to overlook some people's posts completely on accident. I'm guilty of hardly ever looking at the second page, even if I can tell there are new posts on that page. When I visit those boards, I try to reply to all of the posts with no replies that I can, but they get bumped so quickly to page 2 that I'm sure a lot of people overlook posts without meaning to.

Actually I have felt that here on the CB before. I realize that I don't post alot compared to others and I don't do chat so I'm not offended or upset. I have noticed that I am one of few veterans without a tag but it's ok, I don't take it personally. I enjoy reading everyone's posts and the accurate advice that is available here.

I think most of us have felt snubbed at one time or another. Of course, its usually just the result of these boards being so busy. Posts just get lost in all the traffic.

AMClvsMKY: There are lots of us vets who never got tagged. I added mine on my own years ago when my wife used to post here a lot. Again, I think its just the result of traffic and whether people know who you are.

I used to view myself as a thread killer extraordinaire. Doesn't bother me...much...anymore!

I wouldn't take it personally - there are so many different personalities on here, it's tough to know which way the wind is blowing each day.

As for the tag, AMClvsMKY, you change it yourself. Either that, or say something truly embarrassing for the tag fairies to pick on!

I've killed my share of threads too, Cookie.

Photobearsam, I think I've felt that way on other boards a time or two myself. Some boards are just so busy that threads get pushed to page two before a lot of people see them, if they don't go looking on page two or three then they won't reply

I have felt that way sometimes. A lot of people on the boards seem very cliquish, but that is life. I can't be best friends with everyone, so I focus on the people who I know I like, and who I know like me. I don't think I will ever get a thread started asking me to clear out my PMs, because I do not get that many.

I know where you are coming from though. You wonder why your question or comment post was virtually ignored, while a "better known" DISer's posts get hundreds of views, and tons of responses. I have no advice to give you other than to say I am sorry you have felt that way. I also agree with an above poster who suggested you might have just gotten caught up in a bump to the second page, and people just didn't take the time to look past page one.

I hardly ever go to other boards. If I have a trip planned I'll visit some others but other than the debate board occasionally and the CB, I don't roam around to much. I've felt "snubbed" around here before too. I'm sure we've all felt that way before. I don't have a tag either. Sometimes I give myself one.
