OP,I think most of us feel that way at one time or another. I'll tell you what though,if you see a political thread,jump in because everyine has an opinion and,believe me,you won't be ignored. My only thread to get much attention was when I wondered if Al Gore will run for president.The problem is those threads seem to come and go in waves. It should start heating up.because of the upcoming elections next year.
Sometimes,when I start a thread ,I'm like OK,hopefully,1 person will post. Then a few will and I'm .
No one means anything by it. If anyone starts a support group for the CB nerds,I'll join as a charter member.

I feel like that quite often. I sometimes wonder if there's something about me or my speaking/posting style that just turns people off. But then, I also have to remember that I usually don't respond to individual posters either, simply because I just can't think of anything to say and I don't want to leave anyone else out.

The political threads scare me I just don't even go there. They seemed to get heated rather quickly. No thanks The nerd thing sounds better to me

This is what happens. A thread gets started then a private conversations starts. It goes on for a page or so, then it looks like the thread is too long & people do not respond or you get lost reading it.

I'm not sure why this happens with the PM function.

Of course that happens, just like in real life. Once a question is answered don't think it's a big deal and sometimes I'm relieved when that happens to a thread that I've started because it means that it doesn't die before my question is answered.
