I can remember my first visit at Disney being with my parents and Disney being fairly new(70's) without telling my age!
LOL! We had no idea about what we were going to ride, where we were going to eat, when we were going to rest, what day we would shop, swim or whatever! All we knew before we left home was that we were going to Walt Disney World and we were going to Fort Wilderness!
Sometimes I feel like with my reservations and all my planning of where to eat, what park to be in each day, especially with the new fast pass, what day to go downtown, what evening to swim, and now I can even reserve a time and place to see the fireworks! So tempting, but... can't I just look up from fantasyland and see them, or hurry to mainstreet if I dare! LOL! Sometimes I feel like we are a bunch of cattle being corralled by Disney! LOL!
I appreciate a little direction, and it is good to NOT be in the park with a group of people trying to decide for an hour, shall we pick A, B, C,D,or E! LOL! But sometimes the best thing about Disney was seeing it slow, taking everything in, without a rush to hurry and make the next reservation, the unexpected thing you did or that happened that made the trip magical! An unexpected reservation for dining (made after we got there by husband for a surprise) being on the boat back to the Fort from MK and seing the fireworks, or simply waking up with my parents at Fort Wilderness and a deer being outside our door! I still think it was Bambi!
LOL!
Sometimes I would like to throw caution to the wind! LOL! If I dare! LOL! and just go to Walt Disney without any plans and see what magic would happen!
