I mean, just picking everything up and MOVING far away from where you are. No family, no friends just a totally fresh start. I am at the point in my life where the Maine weather just makes me dread about 6 months of the year. I would love to move to a warmer climate- my dh would NEVER leave Maine though. I dream about it- look up homes online- jobs even.

Dreamed about it and did it 1yr and 2 months ago!:cool1:

Now I am packing and cleaning to go back for vacation with friends back home in Missouri.:lmao: Right now in fact.

I am glad I moved to Texas. My kids are getting a better education & I love the weather here!
The people that live here complain about their weather but they have no idea what crappy weather is...:rotfl:

I wish I could. Its our dream to live in Florida, we are stuck in the UK. immigration laws wont allow us to unless we have an employer sponsor us or half a million to invest in a suitable business. :guilty: :sad2:

Dream about it all the time. I am living in my hometown and hate it.
There is really nothing here for my children and I hate running into high school friends. Can you tell I don't like it here.
We lived in Grand Rapids for 8 years and it was the best place I have lived.
Great people, lots of things to do. I don't miss the winters, but I do miss the people.

Yes we are thinking about it now. Been a bad year, DH just lost his job and we are really thinking about SC. I hate the winters here in NJ!

After being in Florida for our first visit to disney in feb '05 DH and I both wanted to pack up and move to florida with the kids. The weather was wonderful in February. Maybe someday we will become snowbirds. :)

I did-and we moved. Actually, DH had the dream first. The twice a year trips to WDW and my mom really got him going. Then his mom said she was moving down.

The blizzard of '03 gave us the opportunity to look around Clermont. Then a coworker gave us her thoughts on the heat and they made sense. In July '03, I came down for a job opportunity (didn't happen then), and we made plans to be down here by the end of the school year.

Two years later, I'm happy we did. We have a better house, had time with my mom before she died and we have the inlaws a half hour away. Even without WDW in the decision, it has been a positive.

Best part of here has been that my arthritis has gone from reminding me daily that I have it to only bothering me when I do too much!

I have a lot in the past year! I spent much of the cold months of winter looking at cute little Florida homes with pools and dreaming.....dreaming of the day I could be there!! I hope DH wants to join me when I move!! :teeth:

I'm not going anywhere! You can move to Virginia when I go to George Mason.

I dream about it all the time. Im originally from the Chicago area. We have now lived in Va Beach, Va for the last almost 13 yrs. We moved here because my husband was sent here for the Navy(He is no longer in the Navy). I didnt not want to move back to Chicago as I hate cold weather, and snow. Granted it is not warm during the winter months here, but certainly not like Chicago. MY dream was always to move to Florida. I want to live about an hr or so South of Disney. I want to live in reasonably priced area, but not too close to all the tourists... My parents live in the Ft Lauderdale area. They have been there for 3 yrs now. I do not want to live that far south. I look at houses in central Florida and dream about moving.
I always day dream about moving out with me and the kids(thats a whole dift story ;) ).
Who knows, one day I may win the lottery and then me and the kids and dogs, will be heading South... :thumbsup2

Got a wife and kids in Baltimore, Jack
I went out for a ride and I never went back
Like a river that don't know where it's flowing
I took a wrong turn and I just kept going

CHORUS
Everybody's got a hungry heart
Everybody's got a hungry heart
Lay down your money and you play your part
Everybody's got a hungry heart

I met her in a Kingstown bar
We fell in love I knew it had to end
We took what we had and we ripped it apart
Now here I am down in Kingstown again

CHORUS

Everybody needs a place to rest
Everybody wants to have a home
Don't make no difference what nobody says
Ain't nobody like to be alone

All the time. I'd love to move to Canada. My parents are both of Canadian descent and I love it there.

I'm really happy where I am now (Maryland). It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter, but just about the time I can't stand it any more the season changes.

Let's life swap :teeth: .

I would love to move far away but the same things that make me want to move make me feel like I have to stay. My parents and grandma live 3 and 5 houses away. My in laws are five minutes away. All Dh and my siblings are in the same city. Also Dh has worked in the same place for twenty years and me ten so we're pretty stable.

I can dream though :cloud9: .

Well, I've lived in Maryland my whole life... and the older I get, the more I hate the cold weather (however this past winter was pretty mild). DH and I are always talking about moving to SC when he/we retire... I would love to live in a warmer year-round climate.

We've done it. Moved from a northern climate (snow and ice) to the deep South. Love it. We moved to a small rural town - thats the only drawback. We prefer to be near a major city. DH just recently got laid off due to cut backs and we really wish to be near a major city because of job availability. Who knows...another move may be in the plan. :confused3

Yup. The funny thing is I would love to live in Maine! My folks live in Oxford and that whole area is my favorite place to go. It is so much nicer than the cities around here :sunny:

I am always looking for houses in North Carolina. I really hate living in NYC. We are stuck here for at least another 7 years. That is when DH can hopefuly retire early. His company is not in NC. He told me yesterday to move there with the kids and he'll work here and send us money. Actually his first idea was to buy a house now and rent it until we could relocate.
