Yes, but really just a moment. I literally looked over the edge of the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam , Niagara Falls...yep, there it is. Beautiful! Ok, we can go now.

It is those people walking down Main Street USA or The Vegas Strip and not enjoying what is right there in the present but watching it through their phone because they are taking photos or video of EVERYTHING.

There's times when I'm fully immersed in the moment, and there's times when the planner in me has her wheels spinning, so maybe I'm not enjoying the moment as much as I could because I'm thinking about something else.

Moments where I love to enjoy the moment:

• walking down Main Street in Disneyland listening to the early 1900s era music
• walking down Main Street at Disneyland for rope drop before the park opens, when all of the CMs are lined up on Main Street wearing big Mickey gloves and high 5'ing guests as you walk by.
• listening to the background music while waiting in line at the Jungle Cruise
• eating dinner at the French Market while the Dixieland jazz band plays
• eating lunch or dinner at the Hungry Bear while the Mark Twain river boat rolls by and you can hear the happy sounds of the Rivers of America in the background
• sitting on my back porch listening to the fountain
• watering my plants while a hummingbird dive bombs my head
• watching the birds fight over real estate on the fountain in the back yard
• hearing my kids laugh
• when one of my kids get excited about something they learned in school and they just have to tell you all about it right then and there

I think I truly do!

I love natural beauty and once I've seen a great wonder I want to see it again.
I've been lucky enough to see Niagra Falls 2 different times and I will see the Grand Canyon again. Getting back to Alaska is questionable.

I am the parent ( now grandparent) who always called the kids out of their rooms to see a beautiful sunset or the full moon.

I also realize every time my small family unit is together how happy I am at that moment because once kids are adults how often does that happen anymore? I have a son who lives and works overseas so I'm aware of this constantly.

I try to enjoy the moment and am able to sometimes while on vacation or with the grandkids. But I sometimes find myself thinking ahead to others things or worrying about something in the future, especially this year. Something to work on.

Very much so. I love living life and have the mind that everything good and bad is living life and a growing experience. I look for the detail in everything.

....well...then you and I need to have a face-off....there is no one in my circle who can enjoy the moment....Yuma has spectacular sunrises and sunsets because of the sea of cortez....I knock on doors....the moment is here. There is a flash flood down the street. stop and look at my garden. Come look at the full moon...no family member, no neighbor...can enjoy the moment.....unless you are like my brother n law.
